Despite no real German, it was an interesting thread to skim and he has done well to get the finished bike to just over 8kg.
Of note was the choice of fork - great value at €189 for a full carbon disc fork at just over 400g

Is this for the ECR? Those ^ mudguards are for 26'' wheels. You'd need these ones, JB.
Have that on my 650B as well, plenty of clearance.
Another option is the Planet Bike Cascadia 29er mudguard with huge mudflap;
It claim it can handle up to 2.3 tyres and like the SKS, it's also 65mm wide.

Apparently a mudguard;

lol. April fools right?

Nope, the hair brush the water away.

I understand this, but it just looks shit...

Need to see it work. Especially at speed.

it doesn't work - see c. 1.10

Brake light and turn signal are the worse.
The mudguard appear to displaced enough water, but doesn't eliminated it as much as a full set of mudguard.

Yeah crudbrush doesn't look effective at all.
The handlebar/lock thing is interesting

From that video I'd say that brush aka post-fender
reduces the spatter 50 to 80 percent.
Better than nothing but still not good enough.And did you notice those bars are actually a U-lock?
It's like a very big u-lock. Huge.And the brakes work only if you ride it like a hipster.
This thing has to work at least as good as
an old porteur bike to make sense.
It doesn't make sense though, does it?The belt drive and the wheels are the only good things about it, I think.

It doesn't make sense though...
None of them do. I watched the videos and decided none of them deserved my vote!
-
• #7443
all the material they used to hold the brush in place could be an actual mudguard.
-
• #7444
What will happen after the brush start to wear out? especially when flint catcher/ATAC cleat were designed to wear out very quickly.

proprietary component ≠ functional.

Actually not such a bad idea.
Edit: What Ed says is true though.

The other problem I can see is that a lots of seatpost aren't design to be set vertical, so it's possible that there's little adjustment to set the saddle level/nose up.
It would need a proprietary seatpost, or something like this to allow bigger range of adjustment.
