There's mudguard you muppet.

To be fair, it's not really a mudguard.

What size did you get amey? Was thinking of getting one for the same reason but found the bikepack website a bit confusing. Any pics of it on-bike?

I think it was a statement. He meant that you don't need mudguards if you live in Hollywood.

Awesome thanks. Looks like I'll go for the large as a backpack replacement then, did you manage to fix the problems you were having with it swaying?
Sweet bike by the way! What is the sizing like?

C-Record Colnago Master commuter anyone? (spotted in Lucca at the start of the Worlds)

I've looked through, maybe not very well, the last few pages as I am trying to find a bike that I think was posted here but I am failing. It was a steel 29er with drop bars, big fat Schwalbe Racing Ralphs I think, SRAM Red, discs and some bright coloured cables. Can someone please post this bike?

YES! Thank you :-)

^ those forks don't look right!

They have the correct offset to ride with a handlebar bag, and the steeper headtube angle prevent too much wheel flop too.
-
• #4514
How awesome does that look to ride?

That Firefly is sick. Just a set of proper shifters and a DS Shot away from porn.
-
• #4516
That Firefly is great.
Does anyone know if those Super Moto are ok on gravel, fire roads, etc?
I'm after some tyres that will ride ok on road and handle the occasional bit of off road. They need to be 29" too which these are. -

Providing you drop the pressure a bit to allow more contact point, you'll be ok, I have rode the Grand Bois Hetres tyres on gravel/fire roads/etc. (especially on towpath), and was very comfortable and stable.

Searching for Super Moto tyres got me this;

Yeah, I may have to build a beater fixed drop barred mountain bike thingy around those tyres now.
Why did you have to post the Amaro Lolibrigada again, ed. Fuck you.

Thanks Ed.
I can't decide whether I should go for straight or drop bars on my all terrain bike yet.
I'll be using it for going camping so most of the journey will be on road. I want it to be able to handle a bit of everything and be fun to ride once I take all the kit off and leave it at camp. -
• #4521
let me just tell you that I miss drop bars on my functional big wheeler.
-
• #4522
dan, up to you, drop (like the Salsa Cowbell) would be a good compromise, and setting the handlebar a little higher than you'd run it help.
drop are massively fun to ride off road..ish.

I'm sorry H, I don't know what got over me.
Seriously, I don't know.
I'm not even sure what I'm doing.
