Sugino 75s (?) and DA hubs aren't exactly rat bike. And brakeless isn't functional. Anti, IMO.

• #303
fun looking lovely rat bike, perfect to get you around
dont like how the stem - headset - steerer junction though
[/IMG]totally the wrong thread for this, I think anti would be more appropriate

Defo not Porn, but looks functional enough. And tidy.

Its a nice Bianchi, but it isn't in the right section.......and it couldn't go in porn due to the wrong sort of Brooks and no brakes......But its nice

You could be right......but you're probably wrong.... but you could be right anyway.

Have I completly lost touch with functional cycling in my old age?
Seems to be riding a skinny tyred track bike with a massive front rack. Like putting a pinny on Jordan and expecting her to be able to run the household (in more ways than one). Misguided magazine fodder on both accounts.

Why is this bianchi is functional I have no idea, narrow uncomfortable drop bar with no tape, brakeless, track frame, skinny tyres et all, etc.
Nuknow, are you trying to find a place to post this bike but didn't think it porn-worthy to be in bike porn?
-
• #312
Grumble. Will have to post my bike in here soon. Is that allowed?
Also who is it on here that has the lovely metallic pea-green tourer-esque bike? It's one of the more famous members, I just can't remember who and I'd like to have another look at the photos...

This one:
Oooh, great thread. Here's mine again...
:D

Yep that's the one. I'm thinking about colour schemes for my touring bike. I want a distinctive colour. I also really like metallic rose but I'm scared of being called a girl.
-
• #315
metallic rose and you're scared that you might be referred as an 'inferior, weak and pathetic' member of the homosapien?
Get the metallic rose.

Get the metallic rose.
Just send ing this as a PM to all the female members of the forum.
Oh. Ed.

I've just looked at Bob Jackson, Argos and Mercian and none of them do anything remotely close to a metallic rose. Might have to spray it myself (have gun and compressor but finding that colour in cellulose will be hard).
That's what I'm after.
Or maybe a more subtle slightly-pink Champagne.
This is all hypothetical as the only components I have are the frame, hubs, rear derailer and saddle.

**Why is this bianchi is functional I have no idea*, narrow uncomfortable drop bar with no tape, brakeless, track frame, skinny tyres et all, etc*.
Dude, are you serious? I hope it's piss-take
"...narrow uncomfortable drop bar with no tape..." - There is tape Ed.
"...brakeless, track frame, skinny tyres et all, etc..." - you lost me at etc *Nuknow, are you trying to find a place to post this bike but didn't think it porn-worthy to be in bike porn?
Essentially, yes.
It's not porn-worthy IMO but it is still a nice attempt at a track bike, and guess what!?.. it works = functional.
Your obsession with internal gears, horse saddles and buckets fitted to bikes it's becoming annoying Ed - ridiculous.
This thread is also for bikes not quite Porn but not quite Anti. Make of it what you will, I will too. This is LFGSS, as in London Fixed Gear & Single Speed.

And nuknow, it may be titled as such, but even site boss ride an internally geared bicycle with mudguard, rack and bigger tyres.

The real issue is obviously - what colour should I paint my frame?
