I do often. It's fixed with two brakes, drops and hoods.
So do I, I took mine on holiday, lots of fun when you have your favourite bike with the additional bonus that it weight from next to nothing.

Why suffer the impracticality of deep carbon on a fixed training bike?
'Cause it looks ill!

I don't get where the argument it coming from with that bike
Compacts and hoods = comfort
Clips and doubles = normal shoes
Carbon wheels = looks rad and rides fast
S+S coupling = taking it on holiday/fitting it in the car easier/getting in on a mega busthese all seems like massive pluses. I'd ride it and love it

A comfy track bike sounds functional to me, just a matter of opinnion though

I'm sure I've seen this somewhere on LFGSS before, but can't find it, so here goes:
Co-motion Divide Rohloff off-road touring / 29er thing. I want one. Not quite sure what I'd do with it though, other than roll over everything in my way in blissfull Gates belt drive silence. Brilliant.

All of this.
Which is why I posted it.

...and rides fast.
Well that just isn't true. Running a versatile gear wont let you reach speeds where deep rims make a difference. They may be a PITA in the wet and can get damaged easily in transport.
Sorry to be all practical and things but this is the thread for it.

Compact bars all the way. although...
If you're concerned about going fast, you won't ride with clips, so take your pick

So that why the peleton ride very slowly in the 70's.
-
• #2988
That's why the peloton doesn't ride with them any more,

Can still go fast with toe clips...

cross check (now called "the donkey" in honour of its predecessor "the mule") reached a state of semi completeness.

I'm not sure where to put this, but I'm heading to India for a couple of months at the stat of december. We're spending about 3 weeks in Goa at the end of the trip and are planning on getting a couple of these - Functional? Yes. Not Porn? Tick. Not Anti?. Not sure... Cheap? Fuck yeah, under £35 brand new. We'll just leave them for some kids when we go. Result all round

The wheels on the Panasonic don't seem like a good idea. Why suffer the impracticality of deep carbon on a fixed training bike? There are no benefits.
