Yeah, I gave this to my brother and his wife for his birthday, looking at my tandem and have serious tyre clearance envy.

I haven't measured, but I reckon our Orbit could clear at least 26x2.35" slicks.
I have been eyeing up the new Continental Urban contact which are 26x2.2" and not boat anchors compared to big apples. -

Sounds like a plan, I'm looking for 700x40 for the Galaxy.

Any one seen a Surly midnight special fork on something other than a 44mm headtube?? Photos would be nice....
-
• #25957
that is rad! Thanks.
-
• #25958
So that's compatible with a 1" threaded headset?
-
• #25959
Nope, MS fork has a 1 1/8” steerer.

Doh, should have looked more closely at the photo. More modern rockhopper than mine.
-
• #25961
Yeah that hardrock comes with a 11/8th threaded headset....so just pop a Threadless headset in and you have many more options!

This guy put one onto his Steamroller.
I really like the look and been thinking about doing the same.
Edit: Can't seem to embed Instagram posts either. Anybody know how to do it?

..it's a pain in the ass, the easiest way is to just screenshot the area and add this image to your post here like you just did; if you really want to have it without the little arrows / symbols on top there's sites like safefrom.net which let you download the images & videos of an instagram post -

Cool, how’s the shifting, fairly predictable?

• #25972
Lovely!

I actually quite like it, i am using quite a small gear, so it doesnt shift up too soon. still there are times in an uphill where you are kinda stuck in a gear limbo, too fast for first gear, but second gear too hard. still very fun to ride
