I was going to say a cross check but it seems to have an extended head tube

My exact thoughts.

Not a Surly, unless it's been modified, extra bottle cage mounts, longer headtube, and the rear brake cable runs under the toptube, not above as on a CC, oh and the CC fork only has mudguard mounts, not rack mounts on the dropouts.
Nice lookin bike nonetheless. -

The power coated Shimano square taper cranks make me think it's that German customer builder who's name currently escapes me.

That may be the first rando-ish bike I've seen with a 1x that looks good to me.

Close but the head tube?
-

It has a different fork and drop outs as well.
There is a quite loud sticker on the seat tube, hard to see if it´s just a random one or from the frame brand.
I was unfortunately in a rush and didn't have time to wait for the owner. -

Mystery blue bike looks welded?
Fern still is brazed only I think. -

Not kept myself up to speed here so sorry if this is a repost - all the bags… curious to know what the benefit of a saddle mounted bag over using the top of the rear rack is 🤷♂️

Being able to strap a tent/dry bag/firewood etc. on the rear rack when on tour, and still having saddle bag if you remove the rack from time to time is my guess

yeah that makes sense... cheers!

all the bags…
Sticker shock on those Helmut bags: 2 x 365 + 185 + 95 + 160 = EUR 1170 !

I'm idly thinking of getting a new commuter/ road bike before winter. I love my All City Mr Pink and I'd essentially like exactly the same bike but with discs. What fits the bill? Road bike-ish that can take 32mm tyres and guards and has disc brakes? Alternatively, is it a bad idea to get a new set of forks, wheels and brakes get some disc brake tabs stuck on the back of my Mr Pink?

I like this idea.
@enNiclas; Great looking bike.
