  • I'll have to investigate, it's unclear to me from the photo.

    This is it:

That'd be awesome thanks, pm me with postage cost & I'll PayPal gift it & send address. Ta.

  • Just back from a wee 3 day underwater trip, and yeah, a kickstand would kickarse. Bike blew over (even when leaned up pretty good) so many times in the wind it wasn't funny anymore.
Remember seeing someone just had a glass fibre pole hinged from seatcluster in a nice simple way.

  • I got this bike for taking my 2yo to day care and commute to school. It was completely unfit for the task, but I wanted it to be fun and crazy. Kind of a meet between utility and stupidity.
I'm in the process of fabbing up a solution for carrying a briefcase at the front.
I've been a bit confused as to what thread to post it in (29'er, CP, FBNPNA). Maybe I should just keep to CP until it's done.

  • Always looks like something a mad scientist rides for some reason

^ Any pics of the seatcluster one? reckon higher pivot point might make it more stable?

Hoping mine (via lemonade) solves all leaning issues

In other news, found the pop studs on my Ortleib front bar bag to be annoyingly tricky to open / close. Anyone found the same & solved?

  • Ed what's the max tyre size your bike will take?

Im tempted to build up a fixed rando bike for winter duties with big tyres which means cantis.

At the moment the pomp is looking like a safe bet by the colour scheme on yours is lovely.

  • Ed what's the max tyre size your bike will take?

    29"

I tell a lie, only the front can take a 29ers tyres.

  • Ha didn't realise you've changed the fork you devil! Ok what size tyres does the stock bike take?

  • probably 35c without mudguard, about the same as the Pompino.

    honestly, old tourer with horizontal drop out make a great fixed wheel randos, like this Raleigh audax;

  • big tyres which means cantis.

Why this? Unless you're getting really silly, v-brakes will do, and be much less hassle to set up.

  • Those forks look ridiculous.

  • They do, Ryan at Oak Cycles specifically made it that length to get the geometry right (73 degree seat and head angle, clearance for 35c and rake/trail for front laden).

  • Needs 27" wheel.

  • Road equative of a 69ers, 29ers front, 650b rear?

  • It's the new trend doncha know

  • Re bike stands

There are some foldable tent pole looking things designed to prop up you bike that look good.

I'll see if I can fInd a link.

Re winter bike have you thought about an old 27" road frame with 700's?

  • 27inch isn't a bad idea actually. What brakes could you get with that drop and capable of taking 32c tyres?

  • Caliper? Center pull? V brake? Etc.

  • calipers wouldn't go over say 32c tyres though would they?

  • Road equative of a 69ers, 29ers front, 650b rear?

surely this is just a hectic anti-lo pro?

  • calipers wouldn't go over say 32c tyres though would they?

Not those typical road one with normal drop no.

    This can go 32c yet as powerful as the normal drop one;

There are longer one out there too.

  • I've got a brand new set of these if you are interested

Tektro R538 with a 57mm drop, they should easily cover 32c
