@si_mon628 really useful, thanks for that.
@Bratkartoffles apologies, and noted. Quite excited to pimp her bike this weekend hopefully. Anything I can do to encourage our joint touring adventures!

I managed to get a genesus Croix De Fer 725 frameset of eBay for a decent price last year.
You can get frameset or completes at a decent price and ticks all your boxes!

The weight is high up and a bit of a faff with so many bags. 2 larger rear panniers and move the rear's to the front might be simpler. If it works for them then all good. Are they going places deep in water/mud?

I think a traditional touring setup would’ve been simpler in all manners. But off course, if they’re happy …

I thought I was in the anti porn thread. If you have to/ want to carry this much stuff you should just get some conventional touring paniers and racks imo. All the weight is very high too so it much ride like shit
Edit; this was already said -

Yeah, I should maybe have put in the anti porn thread.

Cheers guys, I’m really happy with it and excited to see how much French beer the 34f rated to 25kg actually translates to.

what cranks?
-
• #21720
On one ‘touring cranks’ bought on a whim maybe five -six years ago and sat in my parts box since. Hardly any info online but seem to shift well with the 9sp tiagra chain,

What's with people setting up LHT/Disc Truckers as rackless touring bikes?
-
• #21722
Not quite rackless
-
• #21723
Fun. They look like old TA or something something
-
• #21724
Yeah they do. Quite light too fwiw. Don’t think I’ll ever be able to replace the chainrings though, the spider is a really weird and small bcd, and the inner chainring bolts to the outer.

That's not very flattering; you could at least refer to her as Madame Jambonneau !
