Not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I'd love to build up a cross check rather than a pacer like this.

I absolutely love my ti audax bike. But I started thinking this morning if I live in the city again I'd build up a hub geared dynamo bike.
Anyway I may post my audax bike on here at some point, best bike I've ever owned.

Rep to hugo7 for posting that black 1972 Raleigh. So lovely.

Love this, and not just the Alfine 11 (gone off internal hubs now);
Can't help but think how fork will flex with the disc brake...

Just realised i hasn't mentioned the make, whoop!
It's Ricky Feather's latest creation, I even love the zero rise stem that doesn't look out of place.
What odd to me was the lack of rack mount.

Zero rise?

Zero rise?
It's deceptive, put a set square on the screen.

I hope those cables are plastic-coated - otherwise they'll abrade their little eyelets through vibration. I've seen it happen on badly-routed braided cables when I worked as a car mechanic - straight through the sheet metal of the inner wing on one particular car!
Really nice bike though; I especially like the routing on the fork.
Why've you gone off internal hubs, Ed?
-

The indirect feel of the gearing isn't exactly nice, hard to described really, all the gears apart from the direct one felt rather soft and spongy, this isn't a problem, just how internal hubs generally are, it's a personal preference rather than a fault.
Went back to derailleur, felt much better.

Does the SA kick back suffer from the same spongyness?

got a lot of time for this, even if it is step through....
Love the internal routing for the rear brake going through the disc support

Oi, Keppel, stop that, or Kirsty'll be over the road to Pitt Street looking for an upgrade...

Oh, and check your work email you goon.

It's bad enough that it has a full outer cable, then they go and put sharp angles in the routing. That's gonna feel horrible. Nice but poorly thought out.

I don't think the angles are that sharp - it'll take the racing line through that bend.
