  • surely that's porn also

  • Like that a lot, would love a similar audax frame myself

  • British and French addax frame are almost different to each other.

I like how the British one always seemed to be build for a saddlebag/panniers whether the French is for a saddle/handlebar bag.

  • Not really sure you can compare the two.

The blue Longstaff is basically a sensible road bike. That beautiful thing Gabes posted is for rolling around the French countryside because the Germans have control of your petrol supplies.

fwiw I pinched that from this WW "Winter Bikes" thread. It's sort of lolz... opens with "time to tuck away the aero wheels and dust off the mud-guarded winter bike" and continues with what most would consider as best bikes.

    This is pretty sexy:

I would seem to me the comparison you're making is not French/British but Old/Modern audax bikes.

That niner is gaw-jus shame about the red Maguras though...

  • Well, as they are pretty ugly, I'm leaving it out of porn but I like them so I don't want it languishing in anti...

It's definitely functional. So much so that less colours were used to keep it lighter. It's Cav's new bike for next season complete with subtle world champion stripes:

  • that is fucking foul

  • Very expensive but looks cheap. A neat trick.

  • Trying too hard

  • it is cheap sold at a high price

  • Functional though, yeah?

  • Back to functional, being functional:

  • ^^I'm sure it does the job it was designed for very well

  • too much weight on the back = anti.

  • how do you know what it weighed Ed?

Was shifting samples for a kit sale, the blue bag is full of helmets.

  • Functional though, yeah?

I'm not sure they really are. Oh hang on. You're trolling right?

I know a several people with wobbly-forked Pinarallos (model? I don't know) who have had problems with slipping seatposts.

    repz

  • how do you know what it weighed Ed?

all the weight in rear will make climbing a bitch.

  • But how do you know it's heavy? RHB has already pointed out that it was high volume not high weight.

  • I'm with Ed.
    Red bags weigh tons.

  • Personally I'd like to have a little more weight in the front to balance out the steering, as it will be noticeably lighter due to the weight distribution.

  • Once again, it didn't weigh much.

South Manchester is pancake flat too so no climbing issues if it had indeed been heavy.
