I think Orfos Flares are the lights

Waiting on a set of PDWs but this is my new 'functional' steed. £2 bottle cages are bob on.

Awesome, brake lever need to be rotated a little higher.
-
• #12231
Could be right actually, there's a tiny noticeable dip when on the hoods.

• #12232
how many feathers do you have!? Is that mid drop brake? give us a close up shot of clearance go on
-
• #12233
'Functional' ?
-
• #12234
Ha, this is my second, was a bit of a spur of the moment decision after I mentioned maybe building a winter bike up, was a frame Ricky built for himself but didn't use and was mainly the parts he had from another build that were going spare. Geometry was near enough the same as my bikefit so went for it.
Yeah the mid drop calipers, tons of clearance:

Hand cut flaps from deckplate matting.
Front is good, doesn't crack or swallow things up but is relatively effective. Rear is too flimsy, need something far stiffer for the rear.

• #12243
Is that a slightly bent fork?
-
• #12244
That's what I was thinking.
Fecking cool bike tho. -
• #12245
That's a great bike. How are those brakes? And did you fab the rack and bottle mounts?
-
• #12246
Front brake barely scrubs of speed but the rear coaster hub works good..
Yeah front rack and bottle mounts are diy.. -
• #12247
what's your handlebar? seems interesting...
-
• #12248
They are just some random townie bike bars from one of the donor/parts bikes, nothing fancy
-
• #12249
That's the thing, you need to experiment when you're looking at bars (or other components for that matter) and sometimes the cheap throw away option surprisingly comes out on top - in my case anyway, the Hsin Lung and/or Wald option was the most comfy for me, at $11 a pop.

Fancy Fred's proto NFE with high trail forks and Jones bars, been seriously considering this with my Straggler after trying it with 650x2.0 tyres the other week...
Probably DIY ones, SKS flaps aren't that long or flexible.
