So much choice!
I have one of those bog standard black ones that Heldring posted. It's fine but if you've got thick gloves on it's easy to muffle the ping.
I mount mine on the drops just below the brake mount where my thumb can most easily ping it while riding on the hoods. Never understood stem-mounted bells.

These are nice, but they tend to ping on their own if you traverse a lot of bumpy roads.

Enjoyed this article and thought others might too...
Sums up the Functional part of this thread pretty well for me!

Very much agree with this article, I can't stand the Billy bollocks types who ride like they own the Road and then clutter up the place chatting shit about how they 'crushed the segment' etc.
The reason I enjoy cycling is because if it's non macho nature (pro cycling excluded), I don't have to play with a team, it's just me and I can do what I want.
That's not to say though I don't want more people to cycle or I begrudge the people I mentioned above. I want everyone to cycle, it'll make everyone better Road users for it. But I just don't understand why people have to get some have to get so aggressive about it, just be more chill mate.
Only part if the article I thought he got wrong was:
"A classic south London ride (over Crystal Palace, out to Oxted) has become a miserable slog of unsmiling, un-nodding pink and black Lycra-clad sports cyclists. "
au contraire my friend, I think you'll find its full of nodders...

Understood, we'd need to be able to swap between bikes easily too as alternate pick up & drop off. Best we start saving for a cargo bike here I reckon. #nicebutabitpricey

That's the easy bit. The Yepp maxi easy fit variation has a mounting plate for a rack, so you'd just need two of those. Taking it of involves un-clipping a strap and then pressing a red button while turning the fastener for about 5 turns, done. I always leave the seat at child care, and that was a bit of a concern as it seemed less easy as the mini, but in reality it's about the same in convenience.

My god. That is awesome.

Repost? Looks like a pretty decent effort from Ikea:
Looks like the racks and trailer are extra, on top of the standard bike:
Apparently is uses the: "SRAM Automatix 2-speed hubgear that switches automatically depending on speed. Braking is with disc and coaster brake."
Can't see a rear brake though and I don't think the read hub has a backpedal?
-

"where d'u you get your information"
Automatix has a coaster option. -

The 'Sladda' – which means 'to skid sideways' in Swedish – is the company's first foray into the transport sector and, fear not, like the furniture sold by the Scandinavian institution, it comes in flat-pack form.
-
• #11798
Will the trailer work with other bikes? Could be tempted.

it comes in flat-pack form.
Bloody hell, not too flat I hope. I'm amazed that some of the people I see in Ikea can put a bookcase together without injuring themselves, let alone a bike!
If they price this right it could be great though. The low end of the market is full of fake-mtb shite and could do with a no-bullshit Scandinavian shakeup.
EDIT: Actually clicked through the link to see the exploded diagram and now fear for the safety of the good people of Croydon. Price isn't exactly revolutionary, but seems decent.
Not available yet are they?
