Kojak's got ruined in no time on my Brompton... Side wall got cuts so easily. Never again on a Brompton, which is a shame as they were nice to ride.

Sometimes i just like to let it get a bit of air, it's quite pleasant and improves circulation.

It's not your bike is it?

It's compass' own Rat Trap, a massive 2.3 slick (54mm) that weight a mere 418g for the extra light version.
That's only slightly heavier than my Grand Bois Hetres (412g), which show the main advantage of the 26" being able to stay light at such a large sizes.

Does anyone know any thign about these panniers? My search truned up nothing.
Also rather nifty convertable rack:

All of those are super nice - who makes them?
This might be useful in your pannier search? I don't see them in the photos, but there's a lot of brands there that might lead somewhere...

The Crust Bikes cargo fork is for sale for $250 and I want one.
(Makes bikes with 400mm axle to crown and pref 72° head angle cargo-ish) -
• #11217
That doesn't look like it make sense.
More rake is required to make it cargo like, not head angle.
-
• #11218
The 72° head angle is so that the platform on the fork is level, so not the end of the world if it's not.
In the description he says it has "properly designed rake" so I reckon that's accounted for. -
• #11219
That make sense but also quite limiting than just ensuring that's there's enough rake to compensate and be able to adjust the rack to be levelled or slightly sloped.
Will look into it, as I'm on a train.

The Fern Story via pannier cc should give you the answer. it won't open on this steam driven PC.
-
• #11221
There are some really nice bikes on that Fern site.
-
• #11222
It seems Kristin is a friend of the Fern builders and started up Paks so they should be able to help via Farcebuch or Twatter, whatever they are.

I heard you like bidons... etc
Uhh and this is lovely as well. Refreshingly different...
Yes, latter is design as a touring tyres.
The thinner sidewall, slick carcass and lightweight build contributed greatly.
