Yeah cool, thought so, I was just checking for people that still need to do it.
-
• #128
sorry sumo, i was just trying to make it clear that there wasn't an induction at 2.30.

• #129
I was just trying to make it 100% obvious for everyone, so there's no excuses.

Herne Hill Stadium, Burbage Road, London, SE24 9HE
OK... This'll probably be the last track day I organise, seems a bit weird putting these on when my body's too broken to actually get on the track... I'm sure RPM and JC will be more than happy to continue this great tradition... Run by the forum, for the forum... Anyway...
No inductions on the day this time, we'll be on straight after Saturday morning training... 2.30pm sharp... £6 to enter, all welcome... Jan and George will be opening the cafe and there'll be an awesome bike jumble too... It'll be an awesome day, come down and join in the fun...
As usual there will be shitloads of awesome prizes donated by lovely people who love us... Sponsors TBC...
Things you'll need to bring...
• You
• £6 entry fee
• An emergency contact number (in case you have an accident)
• A bicycle helmetIf you're bringing your own bike it must...
• Be a fixed wheel bicycle
• Have all braking systems removed
• Have drops (taped with bar end plugs or have track grips fitted)
• Have some form of foot retention (clips/straps or clipless)Might also be an idea to bring...
• Sun screen
• Different cogs if you wanna change gearingThere are hire bikes and helmets available for you to use at Herne Hill if you don't have your own tarck machine, there's no extra charge for this...
Now make a list and don't ask stupid questions, you weapons...
Quoted for those too lazy to read the 1st post.
I suggest those who have yet to complete an induction do one at 1130 as it's the last chance.
Furthermore, if the coaches think anyone is dangerous or simply not up to it you will be pulled out of racing, (whether you have done an induction or not) we do not intend to call any ambulances this time.As to further LFGSS track "days" JC and I are both too busy to take on any organisation. We (or the other coaches) would happily run the racing and work out a program for you but someone else would need to take the mantle from teenslain regarding booking track hire and whatever else.
This has come a long way since the first one, and the velodrome now has more opportunities for people to race and train, most of the people on this forum who already race have plenty for them at the track now, those who have yet to race have opportunities right from public training sessions through to beginner race training and track league, not to mention at least one open race every month.

Er...
Put it this way; I wouldn't like to be riding inches away from someone riding as fast as they can - possibly faster than they ever have before - possibly faster than they really feel comfortable doing so IF they're hungover/pissed.
If anyone was involved in/was accused of causing an accident while under the influence - imagine how popular they'd be with everyone else. Or worse..
Devils advocate I'm sure Mike!

I'm certain mike would only be responsible for a crash at HH if there was a posh car on the track.

Looks like it'll be a great day. I can't make it as I'm gonna be getting wet in a field somewhere but have fun y'alls

Oh dear. I was being tongue in cheek. I didn't actually expect anyone to turn up and race drunk or half cut :$

Weather looking worrying

Cool your worry jets Clive, it's Tuesday, there's 4 whole days to go before you have to think about the weather.
Track riders eat gruel, not lah-de-dah sandwiches.
