Has this been sold yet? Free bump for you if not. If I had the grand I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Any chance this qualifies for cycle scheme? ;)

have you thought about how much money whoever buys this beaut will have to spend on a suitable array of clothes and accessories to pull this off? i'd be willing to make a little sacrifice...but er, just waiting to get a winning number on the lottery.
good luck, it wont be long till someone drools out some cash.

I collect japanese chefs knives too, at one point for £500 you could get a beautifully hand made blade by some of the best blacksmiths in the world. The same people who would be stunned when I told them this thought nothing of dropping fortunes on a set of golf clubs.
I suppose at the end of the day value is all relative and amounts to what someone is willing to pay.

Dibs. Would you consider £900? It would give me £95 with which to eat this month, and you wouldn't want to starve a man before he has a chance to enjoy such a perfect machine, would you? I am in London (as I gather you are?) and can come to you to pick up asap. Cash in hand payment, or bank transfer of course. This is not a nail-nibbling, time wasting query.
Cheers, look forward to hearing from you -

Afraid it's just out of my price range for a frame that is just a little too large for me. Good luck with the sale.
And they'd never cough up, not even granny. She'd probably offer to grab the other ankle and shake me for coppers. -

To put it in persceptive, randonnee/cyclotourists bicycle usually tend to cost more than road racing bicycle*.
*at the time when it was made of course.
