Thanks for the encouragement folks. I really just want done with it. As Velocio says, move on. He's not a particularly positive presence in my life and he won't back down. After all this? I'm going to build it up and at least have it ridden before thinking about it's future.

I know it's only a petty amount (£2) but I bought a chain stay protector from Velo Heaven... Lasted 3 rides and a bit of moisture... has now completely fallen off the bike and taken a fair amount of paint with it... Totally unimpressed and have opened an eBay case... GAH so much paint... has totally battered the bike!
Spent £2, could've now ended up costing a lot more...

If a sticker takes off the paint on your bike I'd have thought the paint is more likely to be the problem than the glue.

Also, sellers on eBay isn't the point of this thread.
