Anyone on here know @NorthLondonLight personally? I took him at face value, assumed his reputation mattered to him and paid for goods to be sent by post, only some of which I've received. He acknowledged nearly a month ago that an item was not send, but has gone to ground (he's not been on here for 6 days now) and refuses to answer PMs or emails for the past few weeks. If you have had any dealing with him, you might post on here and let me know.

I have bought from him too - and i was very pleased with the transaction. I would describe him as an excellent trader. Maybe he has a prob at home etc and that is why he is not here, that has happened me before.

Yeah, I thought so too, but it has been nearly a month and I've been reasonable at all stages........including giving him every chance to reply, before I took this 'last resort'. What does it take to get a response?
If someone who knows him wants to intervene, ask him to get in touch, eh? All can be sorted if he would answer PMs or email.......

I know NorthLondonLight personally and would be massively shocked if there wasn't a good reason for it. He is constantly buying and selling things and I have only heard positive feedback.

If something's gone missing in the post it's a pain in the ass as there's really nothing to do until it either re-appears or it doesn't and you have nothing new to say or do.

No idea-met him in person a couple of times and he's a really genuine guy so I can promise you he hasn't done a runner for the sake of a few pounds and he'll have a good reason for not getting back to you.

Lost in the post doesn't come in to it though........ he has already accepted that the items were not sent to me......
I really do hope everything is OK with him - no trade on here is worth getting too stressed over - but so much can be cleared up with a single PM. I am a patient fella.....

extract from the t&c for classifieds:
"paypal transactions must include buyer protection (sellers are not allowed to demand that money be sent as a "gift" as this deprives the buyer of any form of protection on their payment)."

only paypal is specified, however the clear intent is to ensure buyers are protected, so perhaps it should be amended to state that "paypal (goods) *must *be offered as a method of payment even if other methods are accepted".

Although it is this advert that has raised my question, i have no reason to doubt the honesty of this particular seller.

The increasingly international scope of forum 6 does, i think, mean that this is something that should be considered, even if paypal (goods) doesn't offer watertight cover.

Never fails to amaze me how rude some people can be. Sold my trousers that didnt fit me on here thought id offer someone on the forum a bargin. I texted the person to tell them im on my way cycle 4 miles in the pissing rain and crappy rush hour traffic.
