  • If there is one more incident involving Cipo, and if anything he sells is cross-posted to retrobike, then let me know.

    I will ban him.

    price drops today

  • There is an awful lot of stuff cross posted on bikeradar and retrobike (I don't check gumtree so much).

Would it be possible to put the rule about not cross-posting "for sale" ad above the box where you enter your text to create a new ad or, better still, put it actually in the box so that you have to delete it to enter your own text? It could at least save a lot of hassle for people who simply don't know that rule.

  • Not a bad idea really, as I'm sure many traders don't deliberately break the rules... One might of course expect them to actually read the rules before trading, but yes I get what you're saying.

  • Bottom left, click 'comment' and then 'I disapprove'.

So, a couple of days ago this post got nerged by Person X for showing Person Y how to nerg Person Z. Weird.

  • ^ repped

    The balance is restored.

  • Pretty sure I repped that post of lae's as well.In which case, he's getting sneaky extra rep.*

*However, I might have accidentally nerged (first time, go easy) in which case Person X is sorry

  • ^ repped; It came up as a '0' which, as I understood it, only happens when someone with low rep tries to nerg someone with high rep. My apologies if I'm incorrect.

  • it can be both

    Cocked if I know!

  • In the process of being resloved

  • Ta, but no ta... return to seller. Simples.

  • Is it allowed to make a complaint about a buyer(or as it turns out a none buyer..)?

  • haha. welcome to lfgss... you can name and shame but I just expect it to be part of the process if I'm selling anything on forums.

still, not quite as infuriating as ebay!

  • I've been selling for over 3 years now ..never had problems that couldn't be solved

so I know that there will be some ..but this bloke has got his own company too (fairly larger than mine ;) and if he treat s his customers in the same way as he did treat me I'd rather go somewhere else

  • Tell 'em why you mad son, tell 'em why you mad!

  • I bloody did but his reaction was the same as the last two weeks...no reaction whatsoever-

  • If you have taken every reasonable measure to resolve the issue peer-to-peer, I'd definitely "name and shame", presuming you have a valid argument of course.

  • This.

I also imagine we might have one or two guesses as to who it is so best to get the chat out there to stop speculation.

  • You're right..I'm not gonna bore you with all the details
but I sold a bike to malcolmgrear -boxed it up properly -he said he was going pay via bank(which I have done before) needed all my details incl phonenumbers(no problem..)then -....nothing...-so I email him /etc etc ..boils down to this:he bought another bike without even telling me and that's it..

  • So - does he have the bike or is it still with you, albeit boxed and ready to ship?

  • No he hasn't -bike is sold now but not to him..had to build it up again
Don't mind all this bit I do mind when people don't communicate ...

  • Yeah bad form that.

  • Wouldn't says bad, just a really stupid buyer who doesn't think before purchasing.
