Bad traders

Charlie comes out of this going onto my internal list of 'good traders'

Gotta say, as far as customer service is concerned, Charlie is the ONLY retailer who has ever made me a sandwich during the buying process.

Now THAT is good service.

Come to think of it, I wasn't even buying anything, just hanging around in his shop till someone I know who lived around the corner got home.

So two days of my annual leave is ok? Being lied to by parcel force is ok? This could have been easily sorted by ctbm answering my calls or ringing me back or answering emails.

People have been put in here for less.

You sound like every business's most pain-in-the-arse customer to me.

Should those of neg rep have restricted power in the good/bad trader reputation threads as well as the rep process?

I have to say, I've ordered the odd bit from Charlie in the past but not for a while, after seeing this I'll proactively check products and stock on his site in the interest of supporting "the little guy"...

+1. I've ordered stuff from him plenty of times, with zero problems, and received super-quick and helpful replies for my stoopid questions too...

Could do with a hair cut though.

Always had good service and delivery from Charlie The Bike Monger.

He shouldn't be on the bad list.

If anything he should be on the "goes the extra mile and is a big positive part of the bike community and is actively personally involved in the world of bikes so therefore really good" list.

He's a real person with a real shop. He really rides a bike. He really has a a passion for bikes.

All GOOD.

Either Charlie is actually a pretty good trader, or he's really put in the leg work creating and preparing all these aliases.

I rate Charlie too, not had much from him, but will buy more as a result of this. Now if Lovecloughfixie sold bike parts..............

Charlie is a sound fella. I've never had any problems with sales - either through eBay or directly from his website.
He's a part of the community, not a branch of Halfords.

In this climate, we should really support the people, not high street chains.

He paid me £5 to write it.

If we are bigging up CTBM as a trading name, that is cool, it is a damn fine retailer of bike stuff.

According to a recent FB posts, some gormless family almost got one of these when they knocked over a 4k bike.....and smiled.

Must add that they did this by barging through the door when shop was clearly closed.
