I was getting the kind of picture these last few weeks that I might have been fucked by this user Cis. I paid for him 334 euros for this bike and about two weeks after the payment he send me some email that "sorry it's been taking so long etc" and that I should be getting the tracking code early next week. Nothing obviously didn't happen and today I got an email by this other guy that he had bought the same bike via ebay and said that we might have been fooled by this guy Cis.
Any suggestions what to do now? Paid for him with bank transfer, no paypal.
Fun fun think about fun.
Thanks.
Hi,
I want to excuse myself here on this board for this deal which didn't went to well. I had some serious problems at home which lead to the fact I couldn't post here or ship the items.
Now the bike for swagmaster has been posted and the eBay buyer has his money back (I posted the bike on eBay a while after the add here because I had no response).
I'm very sorry this had to take so long but I do hope you still enjoy your bike.
Cis

This is just ridiculous.
i'm the guy from ebay.
so you just told swagmaster that you had some serious probplems at home? but you are still able to post some photos at your flickr account? you told him that you forget about the ebay auction? you answered me, as i asked about the shipping cost and you send both of us the same 'mimimi school trouble story'.
this is what happend:
you just waited to see what brings more money, lfgss or ebay...as i paid 170 € for the bike (+30€ shipping) and swagmaster paid more 300 you became greedy and just stopped answering us until ebay and paypal fixed it and got my money back...you are just a greedy liar.

Poodles: worst person to sell to, demanded my mobile phone and real name when buying a frame fork headset bb and crankset off me which i thought was a bit weird, then lowballed me an offer which i then accepted and paid almost double postage for.. this was a miyata frame fork bb headset i bought off hilary for £50 then a month later sold on here. I put on some sugino messengers and bought a brand new ritchey seatpost for £15.. I sell it on here for £65 posted and he whinges that the threads in the cranks arent good enough, which is a shame and im sorry that my crank puller was shit but it managed to get them off my holdsworth. either way he now wants £14 to cover his LBS getting them off... WHO THE FUCK PAYS £14 TO GET SOME CRANKS OFF!!!!?!?!?!?!? im so fucking poor as it is and this is just taking the piss, he got an amazing bargain but still wants to bleed a student fucking dry. [/rage]
he opened a dispute with me on paypal and i said id go down to £7.. he then said £10 but then bowed into £7.... now ive just got a pm from him
"even the seatpost doesnt fit the frame and cannot believe you actually ever rode that thing with the BB and headset ....good thing you are not based in London mate"
USE SOME FUCKING GREASE!!! i bought the seatpost off hilary when i bought the frame off him! and in all honesty the headset and BB are in very good condition!! £50 FOR A FRAME DOESNT MEAN ITS CAMPAGNOLO BEARINGS EVERYWHERE
what a fucking cunt, threatening me aswell.. always have such positive feedback on here and the marketplace is great, why the fuck is this prick so hard to please. stingy cunt face

I posted in the Dura Ace 7900 groupset thread mentioning that I'd be interested in the cassette- and promptly got a PM from Skylark, offering me a used Ultegra cassette for £25.
Now (warning- some conjecture!) Skylark works as a bike mechanic somewhere in South East London, and sells the parts that customers ask him to bin when he replaces them on their bikes- in some cases there are some miles left, in other cases (my case) the item should be well beyond use as it is so worn as to be dangerous. A mixed bag, really, and what you'd expect from what is, essentially, bin diving.
Nothing wrong with that but Skylark will sell you anything, lying about the condition to make the sale, and then offering nothing further than "sold-as-seen on second hand parts".
Caveat Emptor.
So- if you get a PM from Skylark, inspect the goods very very carefully before you hand over the cash, and bear in mind that you are buying something that another cyclist has thrown away.

ftfy - I'm sure not everything he sells has been binned.
Anyway I think you should just let it go, there's no need to hound the guy. Anyone who has read this thread has seen what he can be like and would be minded to steer clear.

So, skylark, since you reported the above post, was the cassette fucked or not?
-
• #1687
let it go? id be quite pissed off getting something ready for the bin when I payed £25 for it
-
• #1688
Surely every bad sale should be posted, not a "oh well someone else has done it"
-
• #1689
You're kidding me, what did he report my post for?

^ saw dammit in a vest the other other day - he's more machine than man.

Seconded. Bionic even. He would wear out a brand new cassette in 3.7 days so it's no wonder he doesn't want an old one.

Or I could do, if I ever got out of doing DIY long enough to ride my bike.
Just to clarify- I didn't buy a cassette from Skylark, I was just mildly shocked when he PM'd me offering to sell me one after he ripped me off over the wheels.
So- purpose of post is to warn the members of LFGSS about him, and his new technique of targeted marketing, as opposed to putting up posts about stuff for sale.

• #1697
Dammit I've got a 12-25 10 speed Ultegra cassette if you're interested.
-
• #1698
Thanks Tel- I was after the 11-25 DA cassette to give me a (very marginally) higher top end.

So you're posting him in bad traders for PMing you about something you may have been interested in? At worst it's spam.

More that he has moved from putting up threads which might attract reference to his past behaviour, to PMing people about stuff he has for sale- so the PMee may not have heard about him.
It woudl not be in his interest to put a thread up that might get derailed, whereas if he keeps sales confined to PM's he escapes detection and can carry on using the forum as a happy hunting ground to sell his parts.
