Just been for a tremendous meal at Bufi on Hackney Road; really nice bloke working there, gave us a wee limoncello on the house as we were leaving to "warm up the tubes." Had the Parma ham & rocket which was the best pizza I've had in years.

Yep. Bufi is the best pizza I've had in London by far. Great guy who runs it too. I no longer go anywhere else. Best. Ever. And yeah, Mas is sound...

Laverstock farm organic buffalo mozzarella is nothing special.
Garofalo is still probs the best easy to find Campana moz for less than a fiver.

Good to know!

Wait to see if they actually do open this weekend! They've been postponing for the past 5 months!
Typical Italians.. (disclaimer, I'm too) -
• #2160
Never trust anything a typical Italian says about typical Italians. :)

From what I've observed, it seems to be considered de rigueur

Fucking stoke newington.
-
• #2167
Wow! Did you go as well?
-
• #2168
Absolutely – they are the pedestrian version of the Chelsea Tractor. Try going anywhere in Stoke Newington without having to edge around one of these parked right inside the door.

Wow! Did you go as well?
No, I was heading to the secondhand bookshop for a browse and then to the Spence.
I saw a crowd on the pavement and thought it might be an anti Trump demo!

Used the pizza pilgrims method last night with rye//wholemeal//strong flour in 1:1:1 ratio.
Topped them (made many pizzette) with all kinds of goodies- venison chorizo, burratta, roast veg, smoked mushrooms, eggs.
Forgot to take pictures- but am totally hooked. Great stuff. -

Just knocked out 10 pizza using the frying pan method. Didn't take pics - all eaten v quickly.
Sold on this way now.
One slight issue - pan handle is loose and rotates. Burnt forearm. Need to find a way of securing that as otherwise it's a very good cast iron frying pan.

I guess it's not the kids it's the parents. Who've bred. How dare they. And how dare they continue to want to go to nice places.
I made one of those before - Jamie Oliver and his mate Jimmy have both done how to's.
Base of fire bricks, make a big sand dome, cover with wet paper, cover with clay, dig out sand and fire. Jimmy does an even easier cheat version afaik
