Cheers guys. I have pizza pilgrims to thank for the game changing cooking method... so much better than using the oven....

Just pre-ordered myself a roccbox pizza oven for my birthday (delivery is slated for june).
can't use it indoors (guessing carbon monoxide and/or megasmoke issues) so bit useless for my current flat but as a longer term purchase and for taking outside for summer bbq's and maybe even some camping adventures I can't wait.

Looks good, much the same as Uuni...
I'm planning on buying this and building it into a landing or roller down the trails.

I tried out the frying pan method, turned out pretty good! Nice and crispy despite being a bit thick in the middle and a bit thin at the edges. The reason it looks weird is because it's vegan.

Anyone been to Sodo in Clapton? I haven't!
-
• #1917
But I am currently enjoying the Walthamstow branch. I wonder if they knew quite how many prams they'd be accommodating on weekends?

Yep, a while back now. It's pretty decent.

I went to sodo clapton 2 years ago, the tiny little table in the garden out back is a major sun trap. got sunburnt to shit. good pizza though.

Couldn't you just wear a hat? If you had a beard, it might also prevent part of your face getting burnt.

That looks great - I've become a bit of a pizza oven dork as I'm planning to open my own pizza restaurant; the Roccbox is being produced by Tom Gozney of real proper Gozney ovens fame. Looks like it's got the credentials.

Are you now... whereabouts? I have been toying with the idea myself for a year or two now but do not have the balls (pun?) currently...

Northamptonshire; I'm a coffee roaster, trained at Monmouth coffee, now working locally and want to do it for myself. The idea is for an all day and evening coffee roastery / coffee bar. Pizza just makes sense as the food offer, I've done a mobile gig with a wood fired oven on the back of a Piaggio Ape and the response was overwhelming - it's so easy to make pizza 100x better than the high street places, it's very profitable and you don't need a trained chef to produce them, you'd have somebody trained in a week. Add in the takeaway sales and bar takings and it's a massive win.

Oh god, dont tempt me...
I actually ran a Pizza kitchen for a few years (not my own though) so know my way about. I guess its making the jump and the initial outlay that are terrifying.
Don't suppose you know Jon Gregory? I think he was doing something coffee based over your way last not so long back.
I have so many ideas for pizza.
Grill is fixed...
