  • ^ That.

Surely having Strava nemesi is a good indicator of needing to get over the not-racing thing.

But hey, it's you life etc.

  • I'm gonna head down. Fixed, feeling lazy, etc etc. See you all at half past.

    this

  • Anyone else coming?

Pah - you just say that cos you are not on Strava. #joking

  • Yes, perhaps I should get over my non-strava thing.

    I won't.

  • Anyway - back to tales of glory and pain on two wheels going round in circles in a city park.

  • I tried, and failed, to spot anyone tonight- were you there?

  • I was there, didn't see you though Neil.

In fact I didn't see anyone. Turned up at 6.20, gave up at 6.30ish and did 8 laps on my own (at an alleged 20.21mph average, according to MyTracks). It was fun, but would have been better with others to talk to. 8 laps with no drafting is frankly a bit of a ballache. Next week anyone?

  • I was there from 18.10 to 19.10, I didn't do nearly that many laps though, as I am very slow.

  • You're going the "wrong" way, no?

  • Less waiting for traffic when you go *counter-*clockwise.

  • I went clockwise, why is that the wrong way?

  • Fail, I'm having a dyslexic moment. Yeah, I mean most everyone - that I know - rides counterclockwise as it is a) shorter; and b) less of a pain merging into traffic at the East corner than waiting to turn through traffic.

  • Ah, I just closed my eyes and turned right just after the roundabout.

    Seemed to work.

  • Wahey, nice to see HoP is back. Been in bangkok getting up to no good for the last 4 weeks but am keen to give this a return this week.

Will most likely turn up on the commuter and attempt to draft the whole thing with no shame

8 laps in 10 minutes I think your average should have been something closer to 40 mph AMAZING!

  • Nice 8 laps last night, ended up in a mini chaingang with a couple of Rapha Condor Club chaps.

On lap 7 I went for it and managed a 6.48 (24.1mph) lap which is fast for me.

I'm looking forward to the longer days to do this in the light.

One more gloomy Thursday to go!

25th out of 289 says Strava.

It not 6.07 though. Did you do that in a car?

  • Next week is looking unlikely as it someones leaving drinks, meh.

Been rolling on the HED3 on the purple bike for over a week now so might throw a 15T on the back for extra shits and giggles.

    Roll on clocks going forwards!

  • ^^ I did it with Brave chasing me. Couldn't quite hold it to the end though, so close!

  • *shivers

  • I was there from 17:00 till 18:30, saw adoubletap for a bit. Wearing all black everything and on a silver Lee Cooper, will definately be back next week.
