  • Yup, me and Iain used to go to the pub, no so much a breather as an end to be honest.

^IIRC, you had a half time breather...

  • On the down side, as soon as I started hoofing it, the fucking creak returned from my left pedal. I've had a 3/8 wrench and extension on it to get the bastard out and grease it with no joy. It's going to have to be the blowtorch soon, but I am rather tremendously nervous about wafting one of those around my prime carbone.

  • remove crank first? :S

  • Suppose I could take it off, napalm the fucker then put it back on and try and undo it....sounds fraught with burnt fingers. Otherwise I'm looking at new peds and a new crank arm. Anyone got a LH dura-ace 7800 in 172.5?

  • Worst excuse ever for not attending this week, had to get my hair cut...

    Next week fo' sho' tho'

  • My LH Primato creaks on stressing ( I know why ) I was told a some electrical tape around the tapers could help rather than a new Crank.

I will experiment over the weekend and see if I can fix it,
There is a creaks thread on here somewhere

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread23547.html

  • Noticed last week that she feels very strongly about holding 6pt's wheel, so perhaps as you said, FC, it was unwise to get between them!

    Orly?

  • First laps in the dark yesterday. Blustery but some quick ones.

Tooo many dopey people out though. A little peleton joined from the NE gate onto Parkway, right across the front of me while I was on the rivet at 25+ - not too bright.

Might give this week a miss or come out a bit later.

  • I just went back to the first page of this thread and do you guys still meet at the inner circle? if so why not the outer?

  • we still meet at the inner circle, but ride the outer. there are few places where 10+ people meeting roadside in RP don't cause a nuisance, the inner circle opposite york bridge is one of them. we had a few weeks of meeting at gloucester gate but it soon became apparent that it wasn't the best of ideas.

  • alright thanks, weather looks cloudy but fine so see everyone tomorrow

  • Just been out for 6 laps. Bit breezy out there.

  • See you guys 2mw lads!

  • I will spinning round around 2100hrs if I dont head up to Camden post work

  • so i probs won't be meeting at york bridge but will deff be cycling the outer circle with some non-forum friends i expect that they will be too slow to keep up with you lot and I should be a good friend and not race off, but say hi as you go past maybe I can keep my pull my friends up to 26

  • Can't remember the last time I got as pissed as last night. Might come out for a cheeky purge. Hopefully not ad nauseam.

  • as mentioned before, I'm out this week. engineering/obree talk, innit.

  • me and a friend are going to do a RP sesh tomorrow (Friday) at 17.30, meeting by the running track if anyone's around
have fun those who are riding today!

  • went out with hed3, disc and tt bars. had fun. after almost 20 months of riding the edwardes, this morning I decided the saddle is about 10mm too low. life is much better now :)

    anyone else make it out?
I buggered up the lap marking so got no idea what the fast/slow ones were like. maybe strava will tell me.

  • I've noticed Strava seems to get a bit confused with laps of the park. Lots of averages way over 100 km/h.

  • There are loads of dud sections on strava right now. I blame the influx of people since the service went free. It's of little use until it gets tidied up; without any clean leaderboard/properly defined segments, might as well just stay on Garmin Connect.

    Good work

I was out, but as predicted had to go slow to be nice to my friends finished with a 20 mph average snore!

I emailed Strava to request a refund as they don't mention on sign up that their advertised estimated power feature doesn't actually work outside USA unless you have a Garmin Edge.

Got an email back this morning saying "We're very sorry about that, would you like a Garmin Edge 500 for free so we can collect some barometric altimeter data in your area?"

    insert appropriate meme here

  • I hope you stuck to your guns and told them to get stuffed.
