  • This is on today. I rode carbon gears in to work and smuggled it into the office, it's sitting under my desk with the wheels off atm. But I am aware it has just started raining. I'm hoping it'll stop...

  • Out again this week. Have messed up my leg somehow :(

Hopefully mended for next time. Better be anyway, hate not riding.

  • I got all excited when i looked out the window this morning and it wasn't raining - get to work and right on cue, RAIN. +1 to hoping it stops!

  • When I checked this morning the forecast was that the rain won't last long and it will be clear later. Interested in another go at this after several weeks of traveling and not riding.

  • In/fixed/hungover

  • Regents in the rain is better! Less busy and the rain eases the burning feeling.

No more Thursdays for me, I'll be taking it easy on Thursdays and Fridays from now on. I want fresh legs on a Saturday.

  • But I cleaned my bike on Monday and it's all spotless and shiny and smooth and quiet! Rain will spoil that :(

  • It'll give you a reason to clean it again. Which is always fun.

  • It'll give you a reason to clean it again. Which is bloody tedious and time consuming, and to be done as infrequently as possible, despite its bizarrely therepeutic qualities.

    Quite.

  • +1 On riding in the rain, especially when it's warm. Anything below 10C and it's no longer pleasant.
Enjoy bike cleaning but only when in I am the mood for it.

  • I fall in love with my bike all over again when I clean it.

The road bike that is, cleaning the cross bike is a horrible chore.

  • Nice day out there now, here's hoping that was the last of it.

  • In, geared, like a boss.

  • Also in! Excited, somewhat like a boss.

  • Not sure what time I'll get away from work tonight, but I might be in for a few laps.

Managed my first 20 mile hour the other weekend which I was pretty pleased with (81" gear definitely helps, although not for getting up the hill for Tuesday beers). Strangely I was slower on the road bike the following Sunday, but kept going to complete 30 miles @19.3mph.

This going round in circles is strangely addictive.

  • Too bad it's not a Wednesday Night Hour of Power - that is the night I can do.

Yesterday I managed 51 mins at 20mph, but really needed some help to complete the 60 mins.

    Anyone for WNHP?

  • Also in! Excited, somewhat like a boss.

You trying out my pedals tonight mate?

I'm out for tonight now. Shit came up.

Will be doing my own HoP tomorrow morning if anybody fancied joining me. Can be flexible on timing but was aiming for about 7am

  • out sadly. Just been told i have a work function.

  • Inner Circle 6.30 or outer at Gloucester gate?
I am on night shift so might try to squeeze some extra miles fixed in

  • inner circle for 6:30, gloucester gate at about 6:45.

  • I'm quite excited - get to give the new tribars an airing and pose with my shiny new front wheel decals :-)

Of course HoP is all about pedalling not posing...

  • tell tom that!

  • Its hard not to stare at Tom when he's riding that shit french bike of his.

  • do both at the same time?
on the shit taiwanese one tonight.

  • Edwards?
