they're made to be undesirable but functional aren't they, so they don't get nicked
-

I thought they were made to be sold on as boat anchors if the scheme didn't work.

I think they are desirable, and don't need to own one to enjoy one. they're fun to ride, and they don't look that bad, undesirabe to thieves perhaps as they'd be difficult to sell.

i meant like got crushed underneath one requiring the assistance of strangers (who would first take a quick shot with their iphone, rattle it off to the standard, then assist)

Had my first go on one today, eventually. Came out of Charing X stn and William IV street location was completely kaput with none of the stations responding and half the bikes with the poorly adjusted rear brake problem anyway. I didn't realise Covent Garden was so poorly provided for with nothing between Trafalgar Square, Charing X road and Drury Lane and walked up to St Giles High St to get one for a short hop up to Warren St.
Same problems there with the non-responsive stations and bikes with locked rear wheel but finally got one out. They're surprisingly fun. -

Maybe this has been posted elsewhere/read about but seems worth including:
61 docking stations in 7.5 hours...

Westminster in "grudging acceptance of cyclists at best" SHOCKER. The place is run by the sort of councillors who think that "my cousin once almost got hit by a cyclist" constitutes traffic planning data. -

^Ha!
I saw one on Friday with all the Barclays shit taken off it and it looked stylish as fuck. Now considering joining the scheme. How fickle!

This links probably been posted already but its only a matter of time before one hits the skate park/dirts jumps etc. Quite like to do this myself.

I caught my thumb in the gear changer, took a bit of skin right off

So, the forum linked up there is calling them Boris Bikes, even though it was Ken that planned them.
I think they should be known as 'boris being barclays bitch bikes' or BBBBB's for short.

• #716
good, but there seemed to be more shots of either him or the bike posing than actual tricks...
A couple of good doucheclaimation marks though.

What do you want, back flips*? He got more air than those Velib people.
*Yes, we definitely want to see somebody pull a back flip on a BorisBike

Oh, look. Westminster refused 29 docking stations. There's a surprise.

• #719
haven't you heard that bikes are portable pipe bombs? and my cousin once nearly got knocked over by a cyclist on the pavement in coventry.
And it's about time we ended the war on the motorist.

I can confirm that it is possible to trackstand on BBBBB :)

Really pushing the trix envelope there, adoubletap.

Even saddle up, I feel I may have an issue on Bozzer's bikes

Pah photoshop the shadows are all wrong.
