secular countries where most people are muslim, fine.
clear thinking muslims, at the forefront of science and reason, fine.
but secular =/= Islam. it doesn't make sense.Secular means a separation of State law and religious belief. By the growth of secular Islam I mean the growth of that section of Islam that believes state and religion should be separate. I can't see the problem here.

I thought (but am prepared to be told that I am full of shit) that secular Islam was declining, for example Malaysia which was fairly relaxed becoming increasingly strict these days?

I suppose I'm thinking more about Britain, of which I obviously have more first hand experience. I was heartened by this:

Catholic corpse-worship again:

"We believe … faith, the people of God, has always believed these to be the relics of the apostle Peter, and we continue to venerate them in this way and give them the honour they deserve," he said.

Catholic corpse-worship
The Pope arrives in heaven, where St. Peter awaits him. St. Peter asks who he is.
The Pope: "I am the pope."
St. Peter: "Who? There's no such name in my book."
The Pope: "I'm the representative of God on Earth."
St.Peter: "Does God have a representative? He didn't tell me ..."
The Pope: "But I am the leader of the Catholic Church ..."
St. Peter: "The Catholic church ... Never heard of it ... Wait, I'll check with the boss."St. Peter walks away through Heaven's Gate to talk with God.
St. Peter: "There's a dude standing outside who claims he's your representative on earth."
God: "I don't have a representative on earth, not that I know of ... Wait, I'll ask Jesus." (yells for Jesus)
Jesus: "Yes father, what's up?"
God and St. Peter explain the situation.
Jesus: "Wait, I'll go outside and have a little chat with that fellow."Ten minutes pass and Jesus reenters the room laughing out loud. After a few minutes St. Peter asks Jesus why he's laughing.
Jesus: "Remember that fishing club I've started 2000 years ago? It still exists!"

The Satanist tenants are actually pretty reasonable:
- Strive to act with compassion and reciprocity toward all creatures in accordance with reason.
- The struggle for justice is an ongoing pursuit.
- People are fallible, and although we should all try to do our best, poor judgment is inevitable. If we make a mistake, we should do our best to rectify it, and resolve any harm that may have been caused by our misdeeds.
- One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.
- Beliefs should conform to our best scientific understanding of the world. We should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit our beliefs.
- The freedoms of others should be respected, even the freedom to offend. To willfully encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forego your own.
- There are, and will continue to be, things unknown and misunderstood. We must recognize this, never taking pride in ignorance, never assuming the unknown to be forever unknowable.
- While proselytizing might have noble intent, it is not acceptable to coerce or push your beliefs on others. It is always best to lead by example.
- Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion and wisdom should always prevail over the written or spoken word.
- Strive to act with compassion and reciprocity toward all creatures in accordance with reason.

I am the man
Whose name is mud
But what’s in a name
To shame one who knows
Mud does not stain
Clay he’s made of
Dust Adam became—
The dust he was—
Was he his name?-Samuel Menashe
