  • can't stand any frame where the seat tube, seat stays and top tube don't all meet at the same place

Guess I'll never be bidding against you for a Zipp 2001 then

  • Reminiscent of the frames you get on those £500 full suspension mtbs...

  • Wash your mouth out!

    It's the other way around!

  • Why people respond to an ad and then go completely silent ... this seems to apply equally to both buyers and sellers ...

  • For the prospective purchaser I wonder if there is enough dopamine in the thought and sales foreplay to satisfy them.

    Online edging, if you will.

  • Fellow follicly-challenged people who don’t wear a hat when it’s cold. People who wear shorts year-round make more sense to me.

  • I'm one of the latter (I don't actually own a pair of longs) and in spite of having a little hair left (No. 2 cut) I wear a hat when it is cold.

  • Waitwut? You genuinely don't own a pair of trousers?!

  • I know my knees are old before their time (a 34 year old with the knees of a man twice my age) but

    People who wear shorts year-round

is baffling to me. Surely it's just more comfortable to pop some trousers on and stay warm? When I was a bike courier I worked with a guy who wore shorts year round, even when it was snowing. He also constantly moaned about being cold.

  • Correct. Shorts only. Cold doesn't seem to bother my legs. The rest of me is wrapped up toasty.
-5° C is the coldest I've been out in.

  • you are a 7 year old boy aicmfp

  • Ha! Plus the other 60.

  • Do you attend weddings and funerals in shorts?

  • No weddings, but four funerals (Great title for a film, maybe) last year.
ETA - I'll tell you what I did find odd. At one of the funerals I was attending, there was another one taking place. Attending it was a toddler, maybe 3 years old, in a pushchair, dressed entirely in black. Like, where do you even find black clothes for a 3yo?

  • Was the toddler wearing trousers though?

  • Of the events I attended last year, the only one where someone passed comment was at my bezzie's 60th party where one of her friends said (sarcastically) 'It's nice to see you made the effort'. It was at the end of October. I cannot help but feel that had it been in July or August, no comment would've been made.

  • Like, where do you even find black clothes for a 3yo?

    A shop.

  • Primani.

  • Well the times we have met, I've never noted your proclivity for short trousers.

    Is McCarthy your spirit brother?

  • This behaviour is at its worst on Facebook Marketplace. I have had so many conversations that run perfectly smoothly, then inexplicably stop when a collection address is asked for.

  • Can anyone explain the drinking shitloads of water thing?

Bit of a callback, but there are lots of 2l bottles on desks for the new year.

Person who sits near me made a strong January effort, but I've noticed they're not getting all the way through it anymore and their constant bathroom breaks are less frequent.

We shall see if the bottles are still there next week.

  • It's pretty straightforward to drink 2l of water in a working day as long as you're drinking 8 pints of beer every evening.

  • I think that's just people being wary of giving their home address out, I get it. But it's still weird, seller's remorse?

  • Maybe they checked their fb profile and thought better of it.
