Invented in 1898 and used by German officers since then, so yes the SS used it. By the same token should we not use Mercedes or BMW products because the SS used those as well? How about VW the NAZIs started that company? Maybe we should just not used any German products incase we are tainted by association with the events of the second world war?

Huh! Love a film anecdote, me.
Incidentally, if that article is accurate then the above .gif definitely isn't the same gun - a cartridge is seen being ejected whereas the lp35 in that article is described as an air pistol. To my knowledge, they only fire pellets.
