Anyone had any issues with shoulder nerves after a break?
It seems my collarbone iteself is doing ok but fuck me the shoulder nerves are on fire.
Like, I can pull on my skin slightly and it'll trigger real sharp stabbing pain in either the front or back of the shoulder. If I move my neck certain ways the same thing. If I move my arm certain ways or just sit down, the same thing. It's pretty fucking annoying. I've been working laying on a bed, propped up by pillows. In that kinda slumped position, it all settles down.I suspect the broken bone is putting tension on the nerves but notadoctor. Maybe it's just damage from the actual impact but I wouldn't expect both front and back of shoulder to fire with different movements.

Took two weeks of working from a bed but the nerves have calmed down to a throbby 4-5 rather than a "I'm going to punch a wall" 8.
CT scan revealed I've also broken two ribs, which goes some way to explaining the breathing pain and means I'm not going to check myself into A&E for a pulmonary embolism investigation now. Happy blood clots mofos!
Surgery next week. Finally, 20 years after I should've had it I'll get some titanium!

"I would like to advise you that DR recognized with Axa, but unfortunately we can't pay for treatment with this particular specialist under your membership as DR is not a preferred specialist."
So, I suggested some names and AXA said to book with this guy and now they're telling me they won't cover it.

"I'm sorry for the misadvise please be advised that we are unable to confirm cover with DR
I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused."I've been in pain for weeks, finally get surgery planned and you're going to throw me under a bus with "misinformation". This is absolutely ridiculous
I completely understand your concern. I apologies for the misinformation's. I will quickly arrange a call back and make sure your query is resolved on priority.

I would've thought so

As far as I'm concerned all insurers suck but AXA are sucking the hardest right now.

I called them up and it seems their phone operators are much better than their web operators. My issues was escalated and they've approved my surgeon and surgery, having acknowledged their mistake in the first instance.

First turbo since the 5th. Unlike that one I can reach out for the bars with my right arm now. But now I feel a bit sick so maybe I'll save the rest of the HTFU for tomorrow.

Wound thoroughly irrigated and washed out with normal saline
Would have expected something with a higher ABV for you

Nice conversational operating notes, mine were a jumble of what looks more like inline CSS.
Nice they told you the brand of plate too. At first Google it looks like they do veterinary products, plates are probably good enough for a horse.

"saline" is code for "trappist"
-
• #1166
Maybe their horse plates were a better match to my already wonky collarbone.

More to do with the fact that you're a unit.

Good job he had a general anaesthetic if there were midgets involved.

30min tempo rides with both hands on the bars. Added another 10-15W to today's ride. Arm feels ok on the bike though still quite odd and lack of full range of motion normally.

An experimental pair of Assos bibs in size L, worn in the fashion of a circus strong man, ie one
arm strap only.I'd say they're good for evening out tan lines but I try not to wear them outside much for fear of sexualising my already glorious form to more Londoners than, let's say, strictly necessary.

Because I know you want to know, yesterday I was wearing my old blue and yellow ABOC (a bunch of cyclists/cunts, take your pick) knicks...
Looks like the site is still up http://aboc.com.au/

I was thinking about taking photos and doing a timelapse of the bruising but I can't be arsed. You'll have to stick to my onlyfans like everyone else.
Doctor laughed at how wonky my collarbone was. CT scan in a few weeks. No standard plate will work so talk of bone shaving and stuff. I mentioned that I like to make doctors work for their money. So, longer term - I might ride in August if I can, but if not, surgery beforehand and no Italy.
