Weather forecast is perfect so this shit is on for Friday, forget the previous ramblings about bumping it if it rains...
Friday 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
Race packs handed out at 6.55pm, you get five minutes to plot your assault, then it's on...Should take you 30 mins tops, do a quick podium, dish out the spot prizes and then as Dan said earlier "everyone will probably split because you're straight-edge and thus no fun to go to the pub with"...
That said, any entry money over and above the amount I've already put in will be invested in lovely beer to share out...
And I need to say this again, ride as hard as you can to win but as safe as it takes to get back in one piece, no prizes for getting hurt.

what about a prize for hurting other people, like an alleycat combined with footdown!!!

with mallets and a ball?
So, you may have noticed they have a little race on in France right now too, almost making me miss the stupidly big-ass tv I left in the US, and definitely cause to try and print our very own Mellow Johnny/Maillot Jaune while I'm at work today...
So who wants it?

i'm out too - personal reasons, hope it's a good night.
if george can wrap his teenage brain around a map everyone else had better watch out (pro-rider to be...)
ride safe everyone!

Pussies. Pathetic excuses. What kind of cyclists are you? FFS. -

Before either of you take offence at that, ask Adrian about our telephone conversation and the sandwich

Great evening and an awesome crowd, thanks for racing everyone who showed up.
Fin 3rd, George 2nd (on his polo bike) and Lawrence in 1st.
No injuries, lots of fun, even had two Dutch guys come up and ask if we'd just had an alleycat, they used to be messengers.
Who's hosting the next one?????

Ha, or if he can shadow Fin for the whole race, even borrow his pen and then put his foot (feet?) down at the end and get second place.

I only entered because I needed a water bottle. I was expecting to come last by a very long way! Really enjoyed it, thanks for organising

well done lawrence!
second photo looks like fin is having a go at george and all lee wants to do is practise one-foot trackstands!!!
sounds like george's race experience shone through!

great event pete. had a quality time despite not having a clue where i was going and just following fin... unlike george i didn't have the legs to let him do all the hard work then sprint off with 200m to go!

I'm looking forward to Void's proposal for future events in birmingham.... there was some good ideas being batted around at Halesowen track yesterday.

I'm going to donate most my prizes back for the next one so Pete is not out of pocket. If it's called Canalleycat2 the yellow jersey can be re-used too.

That's really cool of you, numbers on the night were down on my entrant guesstimate but that won't matter next time as I'm doing a different model, along the lines of no sponsors, no prizes, £3 to enter, winner takes all.
I'll make a thread about it.
Meanwhile if anyone wants to carry on doing regular alleycats then that would be awesome.

Thomas talking to a scary drunk.
Ben coasting home for another DFL win, Brett isn't laughing, not at all.
Bring the cheese and wine with you, bring the party guests...
