I went to Umu yesterday... fantastic stuff. Had me some grade 6 Wagyu beef, which was just lovely. The sushi was the best I've had in the uk as well (I'm including Dinings in that as well)

sky gyngell's restaurant at the petersham nurseries in richmond. amazing food - simple but perfect.

was in cornwall a few weeks ago and went to fifteen. was actually suprised by a very very good meal. had the taster menu and the wines to go with each course. all were delicious. except my expresso was bitter and unpleasant, and the limoncello tasted like kitchen cleaner. other wise no complaints.

I've heard good reports on 'Pearl', enjoy

£50 is a fair price for Tom Aikens'. Have a good one.
I went to Reinstoff on Tuesday night. The food was really good - basil and gin sorbet was delicious and the tuna with pomelo was inspired. But charging 7.50 for a 75cl bottle of water is bang out of order.

falls off chair
I think 10 is the limit for a la carte,
http://www.stjohnrestaurant.com/menus/ (an example)
14 for the feasting menu which has to be the suckling pig..

If I'm free I'm in... best to get a list of interest and then book a day when there's space and go from there
Edit: I'd suggest a list of 10 with reserves so Balki can be replaced when he drops out again...
Book the private room then it's loads of space for us all... it wont matter if one or 2 drop, I'm sure we can rustle up a few people if needs be.
