  • The material like steel.

  • ^ Whatever it is, it's lovely. I hope for you it is a Rossin like the fork. Any markings on bottom of BB?

  • Hi alibi, thanks, it say 2327, no more marks, Also can you recommend me a nice color combination??

  • raw + raw

  • Guys, when did the first generation of the Look Ergostem start to be produced?

  • You plonk it on a plain (not micro-adjust) seat post and it gives you mad layback

  • Im looking for some help identifying this frame, I know its clearly labeled zeus. The sticker on the downtube reads "This bicycle is manufactured by ORBEA SDA COOP". It also has a condor sticker on it so its been through there at some point. Im hoping to restore it so needed to find original colours and what tubing was used as that sticker has been removed from the seat tube.

    Thanks,

  • Hey bikemates,
need identify this frame. All I know it could be italian frame, because, there was campagnolo strada crankset. And what is unsual on this frame is seatpost binder on the corner of top tube and seat tube.

  • ^Legnano?

  • I used to have a Legnano - beautiful bike! That's not why I'm posting though. I picked up a bike this week, and whilst it's clearly a Pearson, I was wondering if anyone knew who the framebuilder was:

Some research suggests that Dave Yates used to make Pearson frames, but this doesn't look like one of his - the rear seatstays and internal cable routing don't look like his sort of thing:

The only frame number is '56'

Finally, does anyone know what tubing it's made of? It's very lightweight, and has a 27.2mm seatpost.

The brakes and chainset are salt corroded but useable, but apart from that, we're ready to go! I'd forgotten how lovely decent friction downtube shifters are from a simplicity perspective.

  • Does the BB have Cinelli written on it.

  • ^ yep, Cinelli BB

56 is not likely to be the frame number - more likely the angle between yer seattube and downtube.
If you want to know the frame number, check rear dropouts & fork steerer.
    Nice bike by the way.

  • Thanks Rik

No sign of a frame number on the dropouts. I'm not going to remove the fork for the moment - will have to wait until I do my next headset service.

  • hot this a while ago and restored it, Chris Marshall who re sprayed it reckoned it was 531sl because if the thickness of the seatstays but wasn't sure. It was stickered up as DeVer but I can't find out who built for that shop - any ideas? the stop and lack of front derailleur brazen suggest 70's to early 80's, I don't recognise the fork crown myself but any info would be great so I can get her the decals she deserves :)

  • Any idea who's logo this is/was?
It's kind of like a Greek letter (omega?) with a number one alongside it.
It's on the handlebars of an old Paris I just aquired....

  • fixed is gay

  • I believe it's from Accles and Pollock tubing. I had an old stem that was stamped like that.
There's a Major Taylor stem on this page that is made from Accles and Pollock and also has it.

  • Excellent spot mr Elgato! That makes sense, as early Paris/Rensch bikes used either Reynolds 531 or Accles&Pollock tubing.
    Solved :0)

  • Did they? I didn't know they used both tubings. I've seen a scan of a 1948 Paris catalogue on Classic Lightweights and mentions the Tour de France being built with Reynolds 531.

  • Can anybody tell me anything about this "m" ? It's a italian frame, Columbus SL...and that's all I know. The previous owner was also unsure
