Looking to ID these wheels:
They are tubular rims, Mavic make but not sure on the model? The rear hub has Maillard marking, and a 6 speed Suntour freewheel.
Front hub has a 'WECO' marking on it. Is this a brand or?

Rims are Mavic Monthlery Pro and polish up beautifully as they aren't anodised.

Yes, they are! Great... So going by past ebay prices, these aren't worth much. Worth polishing up?

Anyone know how much a single Mavic piste tubular rim 32h second hand condition might be worth?
Can sell for cheaps if you want it :-) -

evening all... just wondering is anyone knows what year modolo made the 'equipe' line?
I've got an '84 Gazelle AB I'm building up for L'Eroica Britannia as pictured below...
except I have a spare set of modolo equipe bars and stem I'd like to use (as they match the brakes and levers)... was it pre 1987? they are these ones -

Hi
Can someone help me to find any info about this frame?
Want to buy it to build a bike for my girlfriend.

Anyone know what this is? It has a Williams chainwheel dated 1937 and Cyclo gears on a fixed/3 speed rear wheel (26x 1 1/4). No headbadge or markings, aside from the saddle, which reads "Dunlop Cambridge". Anybody know what make it is? Hopefully, the serial number on the underside bb provides a clue. Thanks!

Hi all, any guesses on this, please?
I know it's not Colnago, couldn't find any Cornelo like it...
The numbers on the bottom bracket are very faint...5173 I think...
(am hoping it's not too precious, as I have altered it a bit).
Cheers !

I think this bike was belong to a police officer in Den-en-chōfu, Japan.
A-29947 is probably his collar number. -

OK question for you: How can I identify frame tubing? I've bought Roxy's tiny Cougar, it has Columbus dropouts front/rear, no Reynolds stamp in the fork lug (it has a cougar stamp so it's Dolan era) so it's likely Columbus tubing...but not guaranteed.
And what tubing, SL/SLX...can it be Reynolds or Tange still... how do I measure? As tubing sets pages seem to give international diameters but I've nothing to measure butting.

Here's Westie's tips for n00bs on dating / identifying (yes for newbies but...maybe of some help to some here):
Dropouts: Vertical dropouts you're talking at least late 80s
Weight: Frame weight can give a good indication of tubing type, so does the internal diameter of seatpost (27.2 standard for quality tubing, but don't knock other types perse)
Tubing Decals: Can help with dating also, check the graphics style, especially Reynolds are well documented and changed every so often to narrow it down
Straight Forks: It was acceptable in the 90s (and still is but started there)
Bottom Brackets: Fancy BBs cutouts can also hint on country/maker
Decals: Graphics styles can obv. also narrow things down. Fluoro paintjobs, bold letters...Google is your friend.
Lugs: Type/branding..Nervex, spearpoint...
Geometry: Path racers are all early frames, but not UK specific. Very tight clearance track frames are usually late 80s and onwards though not ALWAYSHillary Stone if you have £20 to spare is an option too if nobody here can help. Veteran Cycle club is full of knowledge for the older frames and membership is £22 a year.
And people that repaint with no care or documenting original history should perhaps be repainted themselves. Suggestions I leave to the reader.

Very nice .
CBT have these 2 slots in the BB, but I'm sure a lots of others do.
What are the bolts securing the wheels?
