Just picked up this resprayed bike and cant find out what it is..
Especially since it's a Frankenbike; 105, Santé, RSX, Athena, Exage, carbon Sugino 75 levers and these (rather exclusive?) Cinetica Giotto bars..Late 80's Tange tubing, rear brake cable through tt & Panasonic drop-outs, curved brake bridge.
Judging by the lather and comparing the inner lugs of the fork to other Tange tubed bikes (Centurion, Cilo etc), it probably is a Panasonic, but which?
I can't find out wether it's Tange #1, #2 or maybe even Prestige.Looks a lot like these 1989 Panasonic P.I.C.S. Team Custom Frame and PICS Team 1200.
Am I right?
Sorry for the shitty iPhotos; dslr battery is flat.
After seeing both set of pics, it does look like a Panasonic from the 80s. They put serial numbers on their hd lugs the same back then and the set up also reminds me of Panasonic.
Sent questions about bars/stem.

That image and the curved brake bridge made me think of Hurlow in the first place. It can't be Rees though, as the matching f&f number is 340, which doesn't fit with the Rees sequencing. Does anyone know how Condor numbered their frames? Hurlow built for them at the same time...

Hello there,
I´ve been lurking around the internet for some time now in search of Moser catalogues, to find out which year my beautiful Moser is from. The last owner told me, that the frameset has been ridden by claudio bortolotto at a late 70s giro d´ italia - but after a little giro & team research (http://www.cyclingarchives.com/index.php) and online photo investigation (http://www.sirotti.it/) I wasn´t able to find bortolotto on this frame.
The only Moser catalogue I found was on bulgier (http://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalogs/moser/) - also no hint in terms of the age of my frame.Seems like the seller was talking gibberish.
So, to get to the point, could anyone tell me which year my Moser is from? Would you say, it´s a team frame or, more likely, a retail model?
The BB shell says 55 S3S or 55 SBS / 55 is also the frame size.
According to the 1978 decal and the 51.151 it should be built after 1984 - but from that point on I am in need of your help, thank you in advance.

show a pic of the Moser decal on the seat tube.
If that is a Columbus decal (which is kinda rare) why is the Oria decal there also.
Remember people can add decals on later.
So you have to find which is correct and how it looked when it was originally made.
The BB cutout and engraved markings on the frame should be your first clues to finding out the history.
It looks to me as 55 93s, Take another pic of the BB, place it horizontal, clean up the BB where the serial numbers are at and a nice clean shot.
You must treat this like CSI, LOL.

Thank you for your answer!
Its not a columbus decal, have a look, its Oria tubing. Pretty sure its 55 S3S...

Ok , The moser sticker looks like how Columbus makes stickers for framebuilders who has their own tubing made by them.
Example: Richard Sachs.
Frame seems to be mid 80s.
Found a site with a whole lot of different Mosers over the years. The first one fits what you have.

Hi all,
Picked up a new steed a couple of days ago from an old chap near Windsor. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember too many details of the bike (he'd only had it 40 years...), as he'd repainted and changed updated parts over the years. He did say it was a Rees (or Reece / Reese), so I assume he meant Mal Rees. HOWEVER, Mal Rees (from what I can gather) used decals not metal head badges, where as this has 2 rivet holes in the head tube.
My hope/current train of thought is that it may in fact be a W.B Hurlow built Condor, as it has the curved brake bridge that Hurlow seemed to favour, and he was building bikes for both Mal Rees and Condor in the late 60's, early 70's. Also, Condor had a head badge with holes in a similar position.
Hard to make out, but the BB says CAR (may be CAP?) BRITISH MADE. It looks like SR 23 in the middle, and '317' stamped on the NDSOf course, I may be wildly incorrect and it could be something else, so if you have any ideas, please shout.
BenMystery solved - rather anticlimactically - after a session with the nitromors, I uncovered a Carlton and a 531 decal, along with a serial number (that had been filled with bondo). Serial no. dates it as a 1952 Carlton Flyer Track, not the Hurlow as hoped. At least I know a bit about it now, and it was a steal at the price I got it for.

S/F,
CEYA!Thank you for your help! I wasn´t able to find the exact same frame on the site. The second frame looks alike, but has internal cable routing and a mount for a front derailleur. I will have to keep looking, I knew mid 80´s before, but I can´t sit calm until I find a year and more info on the frame.

The placement of decals but more importand the frame markings.
Then the question is about your fork crown not being engraved?
Look at where all the FM, MOSER and BB arrow are located.

Over the years, I seem to have collected part of a vintage Campag groupset (maybe) and I am hoping you lot can tell me:
- what it is in terms of model name / year / etc
- what it's worth roughly on ebay
Here is what I have:
Close up of the front hub:
Close up of the rear hub:
Both mechs seem to be fine, but could do with a clean and regrease I guess. The front hub is smooth as butter and spins forever, but the rear could do with a service.

Thanks Ceya.
Looking on eBay, I have found a Super Record derailleur going for over £100 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380187357909). Surely that can't be!
I also found these and wonder if they are the same as what I have:
Front hub - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200675125261
Rear hub - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200675137608
(Mine doesn't say Record on it so I guess it's not a Super Record. What else could it be?)Front derailleur - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140640828663
Rear derailleur - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180753716794
They all look the same to me (except the rear hub), but I guess I'd like a second opinion before describing them on eBay.

I like to know the exact product name / code of these Look pedals.
Can't find a production code / date on the pedals.
Hard to find good LOOK catalogues and the LOOK website doesn't give a lot of info neither.
I doubt that Velobase and Speedplay pedal museum are very accurate / reliable, when it comes to these pedals. At least, not very complete.I think this must be LOOK PP65:
But who knows what this is? PP76 maybe?
No preload adjustment. -

Looks like my rear hub is a Nuovo Tipo.
Front hub is Super Record.
Rear derailleur is Super Record.
Front derailleur is Super Record.
I guess I have some cleaning / eBaying to do...
Those are Sugino road, maybe early 80s .
