  • Ouh! A friend of mine has the same details on his Track frame, its made of 531 tubing, has campy dropouts and italian thread bb. But we dont have any info either, would be awesome if someone could help.

Yeah, it would be awesome if someone had any more info.
I've heard so many different things. But nothing matches the whole frame.

  • I bought a bike the other week, mainly for the groupset. I wonder if anyone can help me identify the make of frame. It has Shorter transfers on it now, but the frame has been repainted a some stage in its life. The original receipt from Paolo Garbini Cycle Centre Ltd in Great Pulteney Street W1R back in 1985 states "to one very special (Limited Edition) Racing Bike - Columbus (SLX)" then it lists details of the rims and the Campag 50th Anniversary groupset etc.

The frame has a P and want I think is a C or G, although I think it looks like a Pac Man stamped on the fork crown; top of the seat stays and a C or G on the rear brake bridge.

Thank you in advance for your help

Thanks for that the Shorter transfers confuse me. My next question is does anyone know who built Paolo Garbini frames or did he build them himself? Thanks in advance

  • Help me identifying this frame; Its with cinelli bb cup and has pantographed the hearts in the lugs. The fork has an pantograph I haven't seen before. I can't see the manufacture of the dropouts, but i think it must be columbus.

  • haven't got a a clube but I love it!!

  • i have no clubes either. very nice frame

  • Loads more pics in the link

All I know from the seller is he was told it was British builder late 70s. It has thin light tubing with campag dropouts. The wishbone stays is what made me buy it despite not knowing what it was. It also has a nice touch of pointed seatpost mast and lovely fillet brazing. Any ideas?

  • just a random guess but based on the wishbone it could be a swinnerton?

  • I'll have a look around to see if I can find a similar swinnerton. Cheers

    Any other guesses?

Not so much a guess, but it reminded me of this beauty.

  • got this frame and cant find any markings on it anywhere, it kind of looks like a freddie grubb frame, but could be anything i supose, anyone have any ideas?

  • mega lolz at the nunchuck bike stand.

  • yea, without them the bike would fall over and i would be defenseless against ninja's.

  • keep your eyes open

No idea, but I would certainly recommend a rear carrier just in case you slide off the saddle.

  • beautiful touring frame, please remove rim stickers...

  • Hi, I'd like to invite you to the group "Weird objects used to prop up your bike for a photo and so that it doesn't fall over".com

on flickr I think I actually will start this group as there is loads of contenders for the top prize.
