I'm in.

We are third in the social groups. The miles I logged seem to be there sometimes and not others. People need to log there miles as we should be well up there.
-
• #79
yes, you need to log miles. I tried to get people at work to do it last year, but once they realised they had to cycle to work AND type in a couple of digits, silence engulfed the room.

logged both todays and yesterdays
some of the people in the lead are very obviously cheating -

Looks like Tribal DDB are getting a bit too creative, at least 'endopoke' is

How'd you get to the overall table?

• #83
yer but i doubt some has cycled 1000160 miles
leagues are here https://cyclechallenge.tfl.gov.uk/leaderboard.php[[/URL]

i do 5 miles a day, and get 25 points a day. fine, that was easy.
the front page proudly declares:
MILES LOGGED 1,047,973 Which is equal to 42.086 times round the world ![](https://cyclechallenge.tfl.gov.uk/images/globe.png)
But 1,000,210 of them are from one team, 1,000,075 of which (40 times round the world) are from one member.

• #85
obviously bollocks,^^
website is.. less than robust. We have 539 miles so far which is still lame as fuck.
according to the leader board we should be right up there.....
come on. -

You're so cynical

I was on my hols on the 1st so missed a day. I then forgot to log my miles yesterday. While you can't highlight a day that has aready gone by on little calendar (i.e. the 2nd) you can, however, alter the text of dd/mm/yy date so you can input the miles you forgot to log previous day.

Well at least you're ahead of the Economists
-
• #89
Come on people, we must be able to do better than this!
-
• #90
'parently Im now first place in our team after a round trip to Kimmeridge today,
that means you pussies have to do more miles to smoke my ass.

• #91
strategy wise is it better to do lots of small rides or big long ones?
-
• #92
dont know, cant work it out, in fact I dont know why Im doing it, oh yeah remembered because im in training. does it matter?
only you know how your ride was(nt) today. -
• #93
Can't work it out? It's further up the thread!! Pasted for the hard of reading (sigh!)
How it works
The Cycle Challenge is a competition to see which team can cycle the most miles in a month. Teams that come top win great prizes. You'll get points for the miles you cycle with extra points for your first miles.
0 – 10 miles = 5 points
11 -20 miles = 2 points
20 + miles = 1 point -
• #94
So yes, lots of rides under 10 miles will earn points fastest. We need some curryers.
-
• #95
its pretty rubbish really isnt it?
still gonna log my whole months rides though, cos I got it like that once I start something.

I'm sure it's up to 10 miles overall you get 5 points then 2 and 1 per mile.

I don't think the length of journey makes a difference, but yesterday 10 miles = 50 points and today 28 miles = 38 points!
But it hasn't made a difference to the points if the miles were logged as 6, 3 and 1 miles yesterday and 4 x 7 miles today or 6 and 4 yesterday and 2 x 14 today. -

Oi, clever pun, are you the same clever pun on the commuter racers team? Where are your loyalties dude? We took you for Brazilian barbecue delights and this is how you repay? Dead to us!

- 0 – 10 miles = 5 points. therefore first 10 miles = 50 points
- 11 -20 miles = 2 points. Next 10 miles = 20 points
- 20 + miles = 1 point. Every mile after you have done twenty = 1 point
I don't think It means jack but it's interesting to keep a log of a months cycling, or maybe not.
Maybe get out and cycle more. - 0 – 10 miles = 5 points. therefore first 10 miles = 50 points

Wait, so I do several rides a day and tot them up.
Should I log them individually?
What do TfL do about blatant cheating? The top of the leaderboard is clearly an error/complete crap at the moment.
I can't see us anywhere! We need more people on board I think?
