No - I need less pedal stack (or a higher seatpost)

Ah. Inverse shim?

Anyone got a rear triangle? Mines rusted through.

Have you turned the pentaclip upside-down?
-
• #2731
@umop3pisdn or a saddle with greater height.

Stock Brompton saddle had lots of stack already no?

The what now

The saddle clamp, can be turned like your username.

...toe clip attached to just my right brompton pedal. As I set off on my right foot I find it helps and I still have the folding left pedal. I suspect not many others go for that style though.
Same here, albeit a velcro strap. Saves me whacking my knee on the handlebar thinking I can pull the pedal up (after spending the other half of my life in cleats)..

I can vouch for all of these things, latest Brommie bought in August. Have to metal polish the seatpost every few weeks now. Hub nuts all corroded, as was the indicator chain. I guessed that was the issue with the stuck shifting as I cleaned it all up and covered it in WD40, which eradicated the shifting issue.

Still cleans up Ok tho :0) Yes, that is a 44T chainring. Not a gear masher.

That sucks. Doesn't sound like teething issues at the new factory sounds like they're cutting corners and using cheap tat.

Or different shoes.

Sound like your seatpost shim need to be reemed, for some reason a lots of Brompton come unreemed from the factory.

Suggestions?

Bont have got low stack, haven't they? I think they do an spd riot...
Edit: or just get the telescopic post. When I ride the train I keep the upper bit of post as it is and lower the main bit from max to min. No dicking about with saddle too high/low every time I ride it.

My running shoes is pretty low and grippy.
Don't forget to turn the saddle clamp upside down first.

Just ordered an sl6 through C2W. Does anybody know which size bolt the Easy Wheels are? There's options of 5mm or 6mm. Also what else do I need to get/do? Seatpost clamp upside down?

My 58t 'litepro' aliexpress chainring's arrived. Looks alright, I'll report back when it's fitted.
Edit: soz, didn't mean to reply to your post. Saying that, I read a lot about people upgrading to easy wheels but I've found I've literally never wheeled the Brompton anywhere so the standard ones have been fine.

If you only bought in August, I don't think you'll have the new gear shifters. And yeah not going to be teething issues, the've been there for over a year now and just moved stock and staff from the old factory.

Flipped and reversed pentaclip seems to have done the job ✅
-
• #2749
Did you also add a new chain too?
-
• #2750
Haven't done it yet, got a new KMC chain waiting to go on with it. I think you'd suggested it'd need 104 previously, or was it 106?
You could get massive thick SPD shims? Or SPDs with platform soles.
