Great name, probably created by your Brompton pedals.
MKS Ezy are endorsed by many on this thread.
Another option are Brompton's own - but arguably they are more expensive.I have some litepro detachables - I like them more than the stock pedal because they are lighter and also have studs on them - which everyone who has ever ridden a mountain bike or bmx will also tell you keeps your shoes planted. The Litepro are decent and an improvement on the stock pedal, but I suspect the MKS Ezy have a reputation for a reason.

I'm running the MKS compact ezy here; never been a fan of the stock Brompton pedal!

I have H&H with ti axle on mine.

Two questions, anyone else had a saddle bag tear through the loops like this?
Chipped paint around the seat post sleeve, a mystery to me as the bike lives indoor. is that just a normal wear and tear thing on a brompton?

10 years warranty on the saddle, send it back.
Chips around the bottom? Probably from the seatpost bolt? Hence Brompton have them rubber rings on there to prevent this from happening.

Cheers that makes sense re: bolt, tube looks about right dia. for a garmin elastic band

I did the same thing to a Cambium with a Carradice rack. If you ask them they’ll send you a metal plate instead of the plastic.

Long or short pull levers? Don't have me Brompton on hand to compare.
Also, did you source the parts through H&H directly or via a reseller?
-
• #13761
Short as compared to the old brake lever on my gf bike it is definitely smaller.
Aliexpress.

Do you know if that's avaialble to buy. Disapointing response from Brooks was that they will offer a discount on a new saddle but nothing else as i was 100g over the limit and the warranty is 2 years .

Has anyone load tested the metal saddle bag loops that go on the rails? I can't get a figure for them but they seem like an option

Pretty sure it’s not. Could look for a wrecked older saddle on eBay.
I’ve gotten one out of them twice. First time I laid it on thick that it could have resulted in a bad crash had it not happened as I just bumped down a kerb at my flat. Think I’ve actually offered to buy a metal plate both times but just been sent one foc. Maybe they don’t have any anymore.

fwiw the bling version says up to 20lbs

I’ve got the opposite problem - Brooks classic leather has metal slots, they’re wearing through the straps on my saddlebag. Good luck either way!

Not my photo; but p line style set up with a Brompton own three speed internal hub

Anyone that’s had a 6 speed C Line Explore and then moved to the P-Line, is the gearing range wide enough and over all is it worth it?? Would you rate the riding experience a lot higher with the suspension block, wheel changes etc?? I’m aware weight wise it’s much better.

• #13769
Hey, do you have any lightweight alloys wheelset still for sale? Ideally 2 speed please.

I hit the deck today on my Brompton as the rear wheel span on wet pavement - I've got whatever the stock tyres are that come on a P-Line, a) are they widely known for poor wet grip, or was this an outlier, and if they're crap b) what are the usually recommended replacements?
-
• #13771
Sorry to hear; trust you are ok?
Brompton's site tells me 'Continental Contact Urban' which should be ok, so hopefully an outlier

I think it's a feature of the small wheels, centre of balance etc. Especially on wet pavement. I had a Moulton which did the same and the electric Brompton has done it to me a couple of times.
I have a sticker on mine "Fear the skid demon" which is an approximation from old Japanese instruction manuals :-

Thoughts on any of MKS Compact EZY vs Brompton Superlight QR vs Litepro QR vs H&H Ti QR pedals.
I don’t like the stock Brompton pedals, used SPDs in London but now value being able to use normal shoes so have some MKS GR9s which are non removable, slippy when wet and slightly too small at the front where they taper so looking for other options.

I've been using H&H Ti QR for a couple of years without incident.
They replaced some 6 year old Ti Parts Workshop ones which, frankly, I'm surprised lasted as long as they did given that their bearings were ~10mm Ø.
MKS eazy urban step-in but not cheap
