There's a wide variety of arses on this thread.

Don’t think so!

Sensibly priced mini o bag alternative, any ideas?

My right pedal (~4 years and 6,802km old) has a lot of play in it, and both are looking very battered—does anyone know anywhere that has stock?
-
• #10114
Looks like Brompton do (or their website is rubbish).
-
• #10115
I got a brand new one... just swung it on eBay actually
-
• #10116
I have no idea why that didn’t occur to me—thanks!

If it’s the folding ones I think I’ve got an old pair in the shed in sw19 if you want them.
-
• #10118
What make is the rear rack and front block?
-
• #10119
The pedals are rebuildable, supposly. Dibs your knackered pedals for me to practice on.

• #10120
Ti parts rack, maybe it’s a multi s block?

Do Brompton cables only fit their own brake levers or will they work with third party ones too? I want to get fit the Kuosac mid rise handlebars, but will need to replace the cables. Currently have these brakes. And I was wondering if I could just use a pair of standard M type cables to replace with, since no gears to worry about?
-
• #10122
Have JK mid risers myself with m type cables, will work fine.
-
• #10123
Excellent. So, I'm guessing the cables aren't anything special at all and fit most things?
-
• #10124
Not necessarily, cables need to match bar type; m bars need m cable, s bars need s cables and so on.
M cables just happen to be right size for m stem & JK mid riser.
I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! -

The cable lengths affect how neatly the cable loom sits when unfolded and to a lesser extent folded, but aren't critical to function. If you have a single speed it matters a lot less because there's only one cable in the loom to the rear.
The cable itself is just a bog standard MTB flat bar fitting.
Looks great =]
Does the raw finish hold up OK though do you think? Found a few threads in the interweb suggesting rust can develop easier compared to standard powdercoat?
