Trimmed mine down few weeks ago, was cold to begin with but now it's fine. Tan lines started to appear

Never stopped. Velodrome sessions and turbo training with the club both require bare legs, and so both require all-year shavings.

That stuff is horrible. I'd rather just use a razor.

First shave two weeks ago. Racing tomorrow morning so had to shave in the shower at work this morning. GF pissed off, and will sulk until November.

I get on fine for the first 'trim' of the season, then maintain with a razor

I think Mrs H decided after my one attempt of having shaved legs that doing it again would result in divorce...having a bath with my gumwalls was one thing, shaving my legs quite another!

My wife actually prefers it. Win, win.

I shaved for the first time lasy year. Contemplating again this year. Mrs was neutral, didnt really like it but cycling stuff gets the green light. Im a pretty hairy dude tho and so it does look pretty obvious/ odd when off the bike in summer. I like it on the bike tho. Not sure.

My legs are genetically smooth so never had a need to shave my long slender shins/calves for cycling purposes. In fact there are women with hairier legs than mine.

Generally one puts tyres onto bikes wheelsyou know...

The gumwalls were grubby!!

I am a rebellious sod and also a hairy missing link so nope I do not shave my legs, I rarely shave my face either much to the dismay of senior management at work....

Doesn't everybody in a flat wash their bikes in the bath?
-
• #619
Just discovered that I still have one hairy knee.

The worst. Always miss patches in the shower and have to touch ups.

Maybe they think you could man-age in some other way? :)

New method:
Get a lemon, squeeze juice into pan.
Cup of sugar. Boil both over high heat, stirring till dark golden brown.
Pour out of pan onto greased cold surface, wet hands, push it around a bit to cool down and until it is wax like in consistency.
Wet towel.
using the towel to wet your hands periodically, begin to wax legs by pushing sugar ball down onto skin using both thumbs and immediately ripping upwards with fingers. Repeat until both legs are smooth.
Total cost= minimal.
Pain= minimal
Smoothness= maximal.
And no pesky bumps from razor burn/ wax irritation.
10/10, will do again.Side note: if you make this and don't shove it on your legs, you can mix in a dash of sea salt, cool it down, and then pull it to make really quite nice lemon sherbet candies.

Isn't this how they make Napalm?
Shaved for the first time last week. Girlfriend likes it.
New girlfriend > old girlfriend.
