Got a lot of landscaping done on our plot this weekend. We'd put the whole lot under black plastic for 8 months to kill the couch grass and convovulus, and now we've rebuilt the raised beds and laid proper paths. Before and after photos below. The paths are made by laying cardboard then weed suppressant plastic then play bark, and pinning it down with spikes for the raised beds and tarp pins. Got a ton of compost delivered too. Keeping the beds covered until we use them, to stop weeds coming back. Fingers crossed we get to continue using it!

I have a shared allotment with my fiancée and 2 of her colleagues. It was a total mess when we got it and we've done a bang up job of tidying it up ready for planting. Muggins here has only gone and lost the shitey keys hasn't he, and the registered keeper has been on an extended holiday (2 weeks so far, 1 to go) so I can't get a replacement. Awful timing.

Man some folks inherit cracking allotments, all I got was a shit load of brambles, nettles, bindweed, grass and random paraphernalia, power tool batteries etc.

I’ll stop complaining.

I think it'd be short sighted to make them off limits, they perhaps just haven't been considered fully in this fast moving situation. This fb page worth a follow, no link ut(f)s.

We are going to ours, my year 2 old needs to get out, as do I. Plus we will cycle there and unlikely to see anyone in rural Somerset! Wife is due in 3/4 weeks so will need time alone at home to relax...

We were up at ours today. Were comfortably 60 metres from anyone else there at the closest.

Gove was on BBC Breakfast this morning and he said that allotments are okay as long as all the other guidelines for social distancing etc are taken into account.
