Woke up to sunshine so went for a little spin around Epping this morning, which was nice. Mild temperature so stuffed my jacket into my back pocket after half an hour, only trouble was by the time I got home and started unloading I realised my jacket was no longer there...
A long shot but if anyone is out that way over the weekend and comes across a red Nalini jacket lying in the road, let me know. You'll be rewarded! This was where I went:

Ah sorry to hear about your jacket mate. I do pretty much that same route every Saturday but today I went running instead so ordinarily I might have stood a good chance of coming across your jacket. You never know you might get lucky. A few people on here ride out that way on saturdays

Got delayed getting out this morning but managed 2hrs training into the wind then stopped at The Blue Egg in Gt Bardfield for a jacket potato.
Blown home which is nice as it's a bit of an uphill drag for the last 4 or 5 miles.
Sunny but a bit windy.

71 miles from Windsor down to fleet and Farnham, really struggled and not really sure why, I think the trading load of this week has caught up with me, but good company and a fairly decent pace of 16mph including a couple of stops for punctures and a stop at a shop for a few of the group to restock..
Unfortunately right at the end someone fell off, but having been in the group that was racing to get the best time on the strava segment into Windsor, same chap as last week, I did get sideways around the roundabout but he really needs to get some more grippy tires...

It's a very good cyclist stop. I don't normally stop there as it's too close to home for me but I was late out yesterday and very hungry.
Alex Dowsett would have gone there when he was riding with the Maldon or Glendene - it's about 2-3 hours into a ride for them so ideal to stop at. He certainly stops there on his winter rides, sometimes with Mark Cavendish, Russell Hampton etc.
The cafe is very accommodating for cyclists, food is very good but a bit pricey.

I was out there early doors, and nothing. Sorry dude, that really sucks. You could get in touch with Pretorius (the club / shop) - they were out yesterday too

Yes. I got that from all the Ranges and porches in the parking area!! Maybe they were there for the natural food store, or what i guess is a natural food store.

Last ride of the year with Brixton Cycles, fun if a little damp.
Good fun apart from two incidents-the first was quite funny really, when a chap in a red Peugeot worth less than my hat held the horn down and gave us all the finger, the second more serious when a massive, childish cunt in a pickup+trailer unit with Trevrick Fencing on the tailgate tried to force a large group of us into a ditch - presumably the driver was late for a cock-sucking competition.
Still- it was good fun despite Mr Trevrick.
I am much, MUCH slower than I used to be a couple of months ago- proof that interviews after work are bad for you.

Serotta is beautiful.
But no mudguards must leave you covered in mud!! It's horrible and muddy out.

Wet and, by the end, cold. Still fun though.

Yes, I was very muddy. This is an interim solution to my current needs- it wasn't meant to be a winter training bike.

I rode to one office and picked up a pair of shoes then proceeded to another office to pick up a bottle of rum.

were you on Tilford Rd heading into Farnham sometime near 12?
I saw a bunch of chaps when discretely slinking back out the bushes in my fluo gabba after taking a piss. You may have only seen a mysterious but beautiful white steel Denton tourer propped up against a fence with no owner is sight though.
Had gone riding from Farnham out to Cranleigh and back round via Hasslemere and Beacon Hill. The cold was made worse by my Garmin crapping out every 20 mins but was still a nice ride and copped some nice lemon drizzle cake for the privilege. I forgot how up and down Surrey is-over 1000m climbing and didn't feel like that included any hills of much significance.

It's my birthday so I tried to write my new age into Kent roads. Hard.
Anyone got any good .gpx routes starting near Alton, about 100km taking in some hills please?
I had some decent ones since lost and I'm looking to avoid haplessly stumbling about tomorrow.
