Cheers, never quite had enough time to do one before.
Wouldn’t fancy doing it all again tomorrow!

Seventy lovely fixed miles today as I traversed from my parents to the in-laws. A warm up for the hard day in a couple of weeks.
Front loaded with climbing out of Cheltenham, over to Winchcombe, another slog up onto the Cotswolds and some lovely sunrise lanes over to Shipston on Stour for coffee and the best sausage roll from the deli there.
Second half was the relative flat lands of Warwickshire over to Rugby as the weather got colder and greyer. Needed that leg stretch and to get my mind right for 4 days with her parents.

Went out properly for the first time yesterday in 6 weeks did a leisurely 100km down to Hayward’s Heath. Through Ashdown Forest was really nice, couple of unsuitable bridle paths added to the adventure!

New Year's Day spin to Cambridge. Bib shorts & forum jersey were just the ticket. So warm!

Legs felt great. Bike felt great. Conditions absolutely perfect - weather couldn't be improved upon. One of those days that makes you love your life choices :)

It's said that if your bike feels right, you are fit and going well. But did you feel good for ten miles or a hundred?

Rode Cwm Rhaeadr yesterday. An absolute gem of a place. The trail was one of Rowan Sorrell's first as a trail builder (the guy who owns Bike Park Wales and runs Back On Track trail solutions) and might be one of his best. It's relatively short but immensely high quality flowy, pumpable singletrack.

Lovely! My mate lives within a mile of this trail. Brechfa about half an hour up the road too. That's well worth a visit.

I like Brechfa a lot but prefer Cwm Rhaeadr. Something about the singletrack there is just magic.

Cool. I'm that case I'll make sure I give it a try next time I visit my friend.
Always a great thing. Been a long time since I did one. The first time is a great achievement.
