Then as many versions as there are lengths of d-lock shackle for it to work as pictured.
Silly indeed. -

But beer.
-
• #429
I think I just want beer.
-
• #430
it's the diameter of the lock I'd worry about, bit too loose and your beer would tip over going round the first corner...

Drink beer first, then ride.
Simples...

The device is designed for a specific, which "lock" in place when you join the lock with the barrier.

Precisely; it's specific to a lock, and specific to a frame geometry. Forget inventory of 3 models, it's going to be more like 300. As a bespoke item, I suppose it's feasible, but it's hard to see how hitting a thin niche with something which has to be both bespoke for every punter and price competitive with Topeak is going to make anybody a living.

Given that my TT bike travels with the wheel bags on, that's actually an idea I could get behind.

That looks a good idea for the cross bike when in the back of the car.
-
• #437
Yeah. My riding bud, and me tend to stack Our bikes on top of each other in the back of the car. To insure they dont skratch each other. we have to careful wrap a couple towels around/between them. That looks loads quicker. Plus it wouldnt slip like the towels do.

Looks like a good idea for bikes in my rented flat, too. Well-in-use bicycles + stupid light-coloured carpet == lots of scrubbing with carpet cleaner on regular basis.

@mdcc_tester Why do you use wheelbags like that? Super light tyres or just trying to keep road grit off your car?
-
• #441
To protect the wheels (large areas of shiny carbon fibre), both in transit and in the bike stack at home.
-
• #442
Yeah, it's odd that you don't do the same to the frame that's all. Mine just gets some towels over it.

Ain't no mat big enough for n+1
-
• #444
I use multiple mats.
An uglier alternative I used to use in Melbourne was that clear plastic walkway stuff that has carpet gripper nodules on the bottom and textured top. You can get it cut any length.
-
• #445
Yeah, I was thinking about that plastic walkway stuff recently, it used to be in another flat I lived in. Where do you get it? Carpet shops? DIY stores?
-
• #446
I'll have to ask my mum as she got exactly that, probably from Homebase.

"Protects floor coverings in your caravan or boat..."
I should buy one of those to go with

^Is that to play the harmonica on tour?
not disputing that it's impractical, but each of the wood colours is a different shape, so 3 versions like Topeak.
