That's brilliant! Tunes ftw. Anything I can shamelessly sing along to would rock my world. Is it possible to get a loop of Mr T shouting get some nuts for when I'm wheezing up a hill?
Right, time for a presentation run through *yawn and then a mad new-Tyres-new-apparel dash.

• #131
I could meet you there but I can't find where whinston road is. oh! did you mean whiston? Yeah I'll meet you at 7. I'll be on the fuji track.
-
• #132
Yes! I will be there then.
I'll be on a grey Peugeot unwisely dressed in all black. -
• #133
cool, yeah i spelt it wrong, I mean whiston rd.
I'll be on a white simoncini and naomi is on a red and yellow orrell. -
• #134
Whilst I'll have a pr kit, I've tried to use my manual pump only to discover it's Schrader-only. So make the necessary sacrifices to the P Fairy please.
-
• #135
dont worry I haz pump and two spare tubes.
I don't generally do puncture kits, they are fiddly and take too much time. swap the tube, then repair the bad one at home.
(that should read, end up throwing them away as I'm too lazy to fix them)right, to bed!

Have fun you [strike]sexy[/strike] sweaty ladies. -

I've got a puncture kit (as well as a spare tube) because if I don't bring it, I will inevitably flat twice. And a little pump as well but it is utter shit.

No news from the ladies.
Any of them made it back?
Are we destined to pedal the lanes, searching for our women like two wheeled Ents?
-
• #145
We are back - call off the search party.
Epic ride. Epic company. Epic heat.
And epic fail from me - missed a turning, missed out on Ditchling (! not deliberate - honest), lost the group...
(Found them again in a sea front bar)
Serious thanks to Clefty for organising, and to Cafewanda for noticing that the train was at CJ and we had to get our bikes off NOW!

Ditchling was great! I really enjoyed it (well kind of). Jenny I can't believe you missed it. The ride on after Ditchling is also superb
It was a fab day and quite epic at times but we made it.
I didn't even to get to see the sea as a few of us had to get back to London.
Did anyone go swimming?
-
• #147
MOST of the ladieeees are back! We did leave a few downing beers on the beach.
What an amaaaazing day. I could not of asked for better company : )
Swim! Yes! Us crazy Kiwi's and a Canadian went of a swim. best idea ever. fliiiiiipin frezzzzing. but worth the ride.
Nice to catch up with some old faces from the Revenge ride and meet some newbies too! That Bitchling Deacon was such a Biaaaatch. I am SO gonna whip it into submission...on a geared bike. this ain't over.
Julia and Megan. Did you girls make it to Brighton OK?? I didn't catch you at the pub?We whispered at the end about possibly doing a Cambridge (or Oxford? I ain't been there yet) ride at the end of the summer. I am SO up for either : )
Girls, whomever I shouted the train ride home this eve....its £7.20 each....message me and I'll send ya my bank deets to transfer the moniesss: zero double seven five seven too six (or sex if your a kiwi. Wheey!) ate four nine nine.

oh and the puncture that we sorted was due to a £$%^ gravel of the cycle superhighways. Let it be known.

Back safe and sound :)
Brilliant day. I had a super time, despite the near black out. After leaving town the riding was a good pace, tunes en route, excellent company... just great! Thanks so much Clefty and Stix for all your hard work. And special mentions to those that kept me company after the dizzy spell and on the bitchling hike, and the train home. Much appreciated.
Great to see you again and meet some new ppl.
Now I must go and stuff my face with the epic spread my friends have thoughtfully saved.
All in all a total win of a day.

'I want to ride my bicycle' ... (too obvious?)
