I'm easily confused.

Yeah, with the carbon ones you just have to hit them harder. Better to turn it upside down, put the star nut in the steerer on the ground and whack the bottom of the fork with the hammer. carbon is fine, stronger than steel .

How big should this hammer be? I don't want to get it wrong.

Cool, mister ninja, I'll see you anyday buy tuesday. And I'm having another tooth maimed on wednesday morning.
By a dentist with a big fuck off hammer presumably?

I simply can't believe they use pliars to remove teeth.
The dentist say's tooth extraction in the same way I say cold forge.
She means pull the fucker out, I mean beat it into place.
Extraction. Pheff.

oh, and good luck with the getting it in strait bit. If it doesn't go in strait, enjoy getting it out.
err, star fangled nuts aren't designed to come out, and given that a lot of steerer tubes have thicker walls towards the bottom, will not be able to be driven out. if you need a new one, simply knock the defective one down a bit or drill it so that it falls out.

*fangled.

Designed to come out, no.
Possible to get out? I'll let you say. -

i believe her point was that they aren't going to come out when at an angle.
-

No, I said good luck getting it out.
I didn't say that it wouldn't come out, simply, that I would rather try and drill it/hammer it out than get another tooth pulled...but it's a close call.

fail.

If it's in a bit off centre, what's the problem?
(srsly)
-
• #46
I didn't get it.
Sorry.
Although I like the idea of removing all the n's from the star spaggled baer.

Well, If it's crooked it will be pretty hard to screw the top cap on so that it sits flush.
-
• #48
Expander bung?
-
• #49
Meh (I think?). If you get the headset tight, and clamp down the stem, it'll be fine?
-
• #50
And I meant a little off centre, not epically in the wrong direction. That would be a pain.
I'm not falling for that. :)
Your post confused me somewhat.
