we have more than 100 (caps) on the list now, it think that was the minimum number for an order to be cost effective.

The issue, as I understand it, is that someone will need to actually pay for these 100 caps, then organise getting 100 payments from the people that want them and then organise posting/delivering the 100 caps to those people.
People will drop out, people will not pay on time, some will go missing in the post. All this will need sorting out.

These are the main reasons we haven't got any caps yet. Whoever finally manages to sort this out will be a modern day hero.

Would a crowdfunder type payment thingy work e.g. 100 x £15 pledges available, all or nothing deadline? If 'funded' order goes to miltag or whoever chosen supplier is.

we could do more of a thing like the jerseys where there is a collection for all those who can collect, somewhere central. I think it was lmnh for the jerseys. so hopefully avoiding posting maybe half to 2/3 of them and then go from there?

if there is a few excess maybe @dangeek (Cabin Cycles) would want them to put on his site for sale?

Can Dave create a pot if people pay to LFGSS so everyone pays up front?

I think the 'crowd funded' idea is best as it avoids the pitfalls mentioned above when people don't follow through or lost in the post. At least you can place an order with the supplier knowing your costs are covered.

If you guys manage to sort that part out and there is an excess at the end I can stick them on my webshop with the stickers. The issue is that (like the LFGSS stickers) once the first wave of people buy them, then there's no market left for them and you might get stuck with the excess for a long time.*

There's also the LFGSS shop. They could go in there. Not sure who runs that.

*Hint Hint....There's loads of LFGSS stickers still. Please buy some.

I want to get caps made but there's still no design. List has shown there is enough demand. We'll have to do payment + donation up front and sell the caps at production cost price

ok that sounds wise, how does the design get done? is there someone who has done previous caps that is keen on it? Im an industrial design student, happy to give it a shot but wont be able to do until may/june because of other commitments
