Matthew Lloyd wins by over a minute, don't tell Hippy...

Matt Lloyd just grabbed stage 6. For a bit it looked like he was going to drop it in the penultimate kilo but didn't seem to let up. Funny choice of podium tunes though...

Baden Cooked 8th on GC? Didn't even know he was still racing.
-
• #135
Is that because there are so many Aussie pros these days that you can't keep up?
Great ride by Lloyd yesterday, he's a real talent.
I'm looking forward to today's stage, they are riding on the white roads around Siena today, basically dirt tracks. It could be epic.

Question Re: Eurosport Player.
How come the videos 'On Demand' don't load? I can only get the live broadcasts to play...
Anybody else having this problem?

Just watched yesterdays stage. Matthew Lloyd is a talent, he looked really in control throughout, and opened up the gap towards the finish. Decent stuff.

Like the riders, cameras are full of mud today. Interesting viewing. :)

I am watching it on Eurosport HD and having trouble telling who is who. Can people watching the live stream online even tell that it's a bike race!?
-

Cadel Evans is clearly the best world champion I can remember. No contest. He's riding so well.

Yes, I just think everybody's wearing that brown vintage kit today, probably in tribute to something.

It could be a spectacular bit of acting, but Vinokourov does look as if he's suffering badly.

The director has shown about 4 or 5 shots of him not looking happy in the last 5 minutes. Evans for the stage?
Fuck. If two Aussies in two days win this, we will never hear the end of it!!

• #144
^Fucken oath!
-
• #145
Well done, Cadel. Again only a timid little victory celebration. Those Aussies, eh? Subtle and understated at all times. :)

Total big ring attitude on show there!

Not always a fan of cuddles personality but damn can he ride a bike, great win on an epic stage. He just rode away from them all at the end, jeez they should rename it Giro d'Oz...
-
• #148
^yep, fair play to cuddles. stuck with vino on the few little attacks he was able to throw after a gruellingly wet and treacherous stage. cunego looked like he might sneak the first italian win of the race but evans just stomped away at the end in a pretty impressive display of power.
enjoyed watching it via steephill tv and intend to see most of the stage and the rest of the next few days too. being confined to the flat does have some plus points

Today's stage was awesome. As was Evans' ride.
Had it not been wet and blown to pieces that run in would have been carnage in a large bunch!

muddy hell!
