After seeing Jame's Ti Burls this weekend I found with some annoyance that their maximum size is 57.5 on the seat tube. As such I have resolved to find a Ti frame builder* who can make me a copycat with similar geo and the sae thickness tubing. (hopefully my weight won't ruin that design).
Any recommendations welcome.
Thanks in advance.
*not to be confused with Thai frame builders.

ah problem solved anyway, Burls do custom jobs themselves. Still, tempted to get something with a hanger and ride it converted. Ti's are 'lifetime' frames afterall.

Look at enigma bikes too, good rep from what I've gathered, and made here I believe, not in Taiwan.

nope, only steel and some custom Ti bikes are made in UK. Most of the stock geo bikes are made in Taiwan.

as everyone know i really like a certain swiss manufacturer... anyone know of any french speaking builders with an eye for detail? If you get me.
-

veLLO knows lots about frames, and is, like, french. You want a good translator to get the details sorted, right?
What swiss manufacturer? Are Milka doing frames now?

Bublan on this here forum builds some lovely titanium bikes. No idea about cost or waiting time but the frames look lovely!

Van Nicholas will do you custom sizing, geometry, tubing, drop puts, braze-ons, laser engraving etc etc.
I've just gotten on of their road bikes and the frame is just incredible.

Pretty much all Ti bike brands will do custom. Other than the buget frame sellers like PX and PBK. Burls is one of the cheaper ones.
Probably best to go local to get exactly what you want, and the to get the most out of your custom pennys.

Bubblan makes some beautiful frames, got on to him a while back about their new freestyle frame and haven't heard back but they're gorgeous frames! That said I'm much more interested in getting a Stainless Steel frame at the moment, if I had the money I'd have an Independent Fabrications SSR... Columbus XCR is the business, much rather that to Ti...

I've been looking at 953 myself. Very strong as you would expect from steel. The impressive bit being the stiffness to weight (where Ti and Al usually shine). Entirly possible to build a shite bike out of it, I'm sure. But the numbers at least look good.
